Come on guys, it's just an oversight. Cut them some slack. I'm sure they'll fix it at some point. Maybe... I don't know.

Yeah except when you glamour the item you're going to have it either with the visor on or the visor off, you're not going to sit there and turn it on and off constantly. There's a difference between glamouring something and then whining about something that'll sit static on your head until you decide to use the other option (which no one will even see the animation for except yourself when you pay attention to it).
Why does this matter? He is pointing out a lack of quallity we have come to expect with this dev team and game. These things DO matter no matter how little, death by a thousand cuts isn't just a loose term small things add up and can be very important.
One mans visor animation is another persons sliding character, is another mans weekly lockout hate, is anothers dislike of red scrips....
That looks so bad it looks bugged.
If not bugged, that animation falls far, far bellow the typical standard of quality for this game (which is supposed to be one of its strengths).

Yeah, I dunno where this idea of "THE CASH SHOP PAYED FOR THE SERVERS" came from.
FFXIV needed 500K players to keep the servers up and pay for developing new content as per Yoshi. Anything passed that was a bonus. Since FFXIV is very successful, they would have had cash for those servers regardless. Where is this cash shop money going? Probably to SE's shareholders. Gotta pay them dividends.
that was the first piece of Esoteric gear i got, the Dragoon helmet, and when i did the visor command i was like uhm... ok..
never to use it again.
dont we only have about 500k active subs? one of those server population survey came up with 500k ish actual playersYeah, I dunno where this idea of "THE CASH SHOP PAYED FOR THE SERVERS" came from.

i know total acc is 4 mil but theyre all dead accs

When I came in here, I was expecting the animation to be below top-notch, but at least 'okay'. It's not. The chin completely disappears and appears with the /visor command. There's no hint that it ever even existed when the visor is up. That's just bad.
The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.

The whole set in its early showings looked kind of .. meh in comparison to the colors and look in the video. I'm just more surprised it looked like it was made to animate off the Ironworks helm visor. You'd think the lower two tiers of the visor would collapse up into the the top row and slide back along the curve of the helm. That oversized teleporting chin guard. Where does it go when that visor is up?
Player
I'm here...
Am I too late to blindly defend SE for the sake of blindly defending SE?
