We're not getting duels because Scholar verses Astrologian isn't balance and wouldn't be fun? Sorry, but when did "fun" become something with a clearly defined rule set, instead of something purely subjective? I'd enjoy the crap out of doing unbalanced match-ups to test myself against a handicap...

This isn't a reason for no duels. It's a reason against instanced duels we queue up for and perhaps duels with real rewards, which isn't really something anyone has been asking for, not what I've been asking for at least (and I've been fairly vocal on this topic...). We want duel requests in the open world, albeit with some limitations to prevent harassment. Want to know what happens if you get a duel request in that scenario? If you don't think the match up will be fun, you can decline! Shocking concept, I know... I literally just want 1v1 duels in various open world areas to pass the time between queues. That's it. I literally just want to 1v1 for fun when I'm bored, and now you're trying to tell me it wouldn't be fun? F*ck that. If you gave a shit about balance Frontlines wouldn't exist, can it with the pathetic excuses already...

I'm going to dig up the Triple Triad analogy again, because it so perfectly highlights how dumb this whole thing is... Scholar verses Astrologian isn't balanced? Who cares, a player brand new to the Gold Saucer can challenge, and be challenged by, a veteran at Triple Triad. Should we remove Triple Triad duels from the game then? I mean, a player with a 1 star deck going up against a player with a 3 star deck isn't balanced in the slightest, so obviously Triple Triad duels can't be fun, so they should exist. I can't even tell what deck someone has until I'm already facing them, I can at least tell what Job someone is on instantly...

I mean really, I'd have taken "We don't want people to be harassed for duel requests" as a better response in all honesty, even though we've come up with plenty of solutions to that in various other threads... "You want 1v1s for fun? But it wouldn't be fun!", what tripe... Nevermind the benefits of having instant access to PvP (if I queue for PvP, I want to PvP, but currently I have to wait on that queue), nevermind the potential for practicing PvP in an environment where you're not going to negatively impact your team, nevermind putting PvP out there to make your average player more aware of it and more likely to get interested in it in a way that doesn't result in mindless ganking and harassment, nevermind any of that, it wouldn't be fun so we can't have it... Jesus Christ, that Wolves' Den revival better be f*cking amazing... Can I get tomestones removed, or at least greatly adjusted, because I certainly don't find grinding them fun in the slightest? Great that PvP lets me ignore that tomestone grind completely, I guess... I'd still rather have something closer to BCNM/ENMs/etc. though, that would be perfect...
