Wow, I'm a ditz. I totally missed that option, even though I clicked the one right near it marked "Crafted Gear" <_<

I have a pretty casual raid group. We're far from the best, but we have fun. We haven't raided at all before echo yet, but I was thinking it'd be nice to try this time before they add it in. So, really, we can use all the help we can get, which is why I'm trying to figure out how to make the most of this accessory situation.
Thank you for the advice, and thanks to the OP for bringing this up. Casual raiders, or whatever you call people who are somewhere between casual and hardcore (I think the answer is "casual"), really benefit from discussions like this.

As someone who has 100k gil to his name, I can sympathize with your situation. My recommendation is to go with either 3 fending + 2 slaying or 2 fending + 3 slaying, as you've been brain storming with your 210 set. If you can afford to replace any of those pieces with an i150 accessory, then it would be in your advantage to do so. Crafted is by far the best, but by no means the only way.I have a pretty casual raid group. We're far from the best, but we have fun. I honestly don't see how tanking in this game is completely broken. It's about the only thing that has customization options. Do I get aggro? Yes. Do I hold aggro? Yes. Do I take all the heavy hits? Yes. I'M A TANK! However, beyond that, I have the ability to choose how "comfortable" I am with my abilities and those around me by swapping accessories around to meet my needs and insure that I'm able to maximize my damage. If anything, the only thing that is "broken" about it is that tanks can't lot on DPS accessories that drop from dungeons/raids.
Btw, for those who care - to meld 5 accessories with 3 Grade IV materia each, it takes, on average, 53.5 of the materia total (or 10.7 materia per accessory). Of course, that assumes your luck is exactly average.

Crafted accessories can be expensive but are definitely worth it in my opinion. An extra 150+ Str (over full vit acc) is nothing to scoff at while maintaining the vit meta (about 16k hp). If you can't afford the crafted go for a split, or maybe even try and get one or two crafted pieces. Every little bit helps. This also allows you to invest esoteric into left side equipment first instead of using it on accessories.
Sadly It Is true tank need crafted 4 melded accessories to BE optimal pretty unfair compare to the other job though
I would suggest every static that do sell run to gave money to the tank for those accessories they really make a huge difference
Currently I'm using the i190 Vit neck and ring, i180 Vit earring and ring, and i190 str bracelet and I'm fine in SA1. Once I get the savage Vit ring, I'll swap to the i190 str ring.
Crafted accessories are overrated.
Lagainsti i was using 2 slaying and 3 fending i had 2 fending lvl 210 one slaying 210 and the rest was 190. Which Is in total 138 vit and 87 str
With my crafted accessories i now have 140 vit and 155 str which Is 2 more vit and 68 it Is quite a difference. Ofc the difference will BE smaller with full 210 but even then you only get 147 vit and 94 str
