    SE Europe Chat Support Works! No really...it works!

    Hi guys, normally i only log in at my house but recently i tried to log in on a friends computer and got locked out of my account for security reasons. A good protection but at first it scared me. It said I would receive an e-mail and I thought i didnt. It then said I had to reset my password and see if that works. I tried this using an emailadress i thought was the right one, reset my password and saw that I had no FF14 service account.

    I searched the forums and so many drama stories that scared me but I tried to stay calm and I contacted the SE Europe chat support.

    Within 1 minute I got a friendly agent on chat who could tell me that I reset the password on the wrong emailadress, turns out i had 2 SE accounts.

    I logged in on the right emailadress, saw the email telling me to reset my password, I did and now I can log into the game again.

    So for everyone out there seeing all those horror stories, here is a bit of hope for you guys.

    Try it! It works.

    SEE Agent Chris: Hello, I understand you have had an issue updating your password
    SEE Agent Chris: It is not possible for a SQUARE ENIX ID name to change after it has been registered, so this would mean you have two registered IDS which is causing the confusion.
    SEE Agent Chris: The e-mail address you provided is not linked to your main account, so if you have used this to change your password or log in it would not be the correct account
    SEE Agent Chris: Can you tell me your date of birth please and any other e-mail addresses you may have used
    You: Ok, please give me a few seconds to look up that emailadress. My date of birth is **-**-****.
    SEE Agent Chris: Thank you
    SEE Agent Chris: I can tell you it is an Outlook address
    You: i think i found it, almsot there
    You: AHA! *****@*****.com this would be it
    You: i now see the mail that was sent to me
    SEE Agent Chris: That is correct. Please use this e-mail address to change your password. The log in restriction will then be removed and you will be able to access your account
    SEE Agent Chris: Is there anything else I can help you with today?
    You: your awesome! thank you man
    You: nope, that was all
    SEE Agent Chris: No problem, I'm pleased I could help.
    You: thank you for the quick response

    Interesting, being in NZ, which is a PAL region and we probably have to use the support from Square-Enix Europe too. So... where/how do you find the Square-Enix- Europe support chat line?
