    Because it's no longer unqiue. Scholar's have emergency tactics, which can make their adloquium heal for more on a crit than even our own criticals (it turns the barrier into a heal, effectively a 900 potency cure). Astrologian has Essential Dignity which can deal a 1000 potency cure to anyone low on HP, and can use regens as we do.

    The argument against stoneskin is that it's somehow broken at high HP levels. What Yoshi fails to consider in his argument is that damage is also significantly higher at level 60, so the total mitigation remains about the same. All we get in exchange for this potency is the weakest of speed boosts to casting regular stoneskin (not even stoneskin II), and a stoneskin ability which is no longer worth its casting cost.

    He did explain why they changed Stoneskin. Let's also remember that he wanted to get rid of Stoneskin when the game went from 1.0 to 2.0.

    Protect is a problem if your plan is to have damage taken continue to scale. Considering you still need to level CNJ to get Protect, I'm not really seeing the problem here.

    The interviewer was dumb to use a vague term like "identity". It leaves too many angles open.

    He's out of touch with what can be considered fun. He uses the right words but so far whenever they've taken content from previous Final Fantasy games they've ruined it. I don't even like what he says about Snow Boarding, they will turn it into a grind instead of a fun mini game if given the opportunity.

    I think the interviewer asked the wrong question regarding our inventory spaces. Everyone knows where the issues is and the fix from SE that is required.

    The issue about whm identity wasn't the loss of proshell and granite skin, the issue is that the new traits that replaced those are absolute trash. Medica I will never be spammed enough for the enhanced medica to be noticeable and quick stoneskin is absolute trash, PoM+SS spam was enough to cover up the whole raid before phase transitions.

    With the whole new dps skills added to whm and them wanting to make white mages "paladins" (note on JP the pld class is named knight), id at least expect a cleric stance trait that increases accuracy to some extent so whm can dps freely on accuracy cap content (like ast/sch can). But nope, we get enhanced medica and some crappy speedy stoneskin that has the same effect as the ones paladins cast.

    Or maybe, just maybe...SE is trying to increase certain people's subscription fee by selling them up to 6 retainers in the cash shop.

    Another poster does have a point.

    SE keeps adding more items when they don't need to (or put those alex drops as key items instead) that keeps adding to the inventory space problems and yet the only thing they've done so far to alleviate the inventory issue is in patch 3.0 when they "allowed" people to buy up to 6 retainers for a recurring monthly fee.

    And then there's this:
    Yoshida: ...Although we won’t be able to expand inventory straight away, we want to make it more convenient to use retainers. So you can e.g. access all retainers in certain areas, rather than one by one.
    That sounds like it would really help those people who bought those 6 extra retainers.

    As for housing, when i see examples of housing systems in other games such as Wildstar's housing, i look at XIV's housing system and i think now that ARR is at 3.0 that a Housing 2.0 needs to happen.

    Not really. Imagine you generate a number based on the 25 items in inventory tab 1, then match that number against the one on the server. This number doesn't have to be very big in order to be unique for that combination of items; the entire internet's list of addresses can be contained in eight characters.

    267 total. That alone doesn't even equate to how many slots we use in the armory chest for all our job gear.
    WoW has way more Slots aviable in WoD:

    128 Inventory Slots
    223 bank slots
    98 Gathering Bank slots (Only for Materials)
    80 Transmog Bank slots (only for Weapons and Armor)

    Thats a total of 529 spaces. And that for every Character you play to 100.
