'esc' key not working

After the patch it seems the esc key has been disabled, I've used two different keyboards now and both are having the same problem but only in this game, of course I have temporarily bound the "close" key to another key on the keyboard other than the 'esc' key bc well I need to close menus! I've also run a keyboard testing application, both of the keyboards are working properly (all the keys registered when pushed).

Date and time of when the issue occurred. Please be sure to state the time zone of your region. (Example: Pacific Time = PST/PDT)

Frequency:
State how frequently the issue occurs. Please select from the following.
1.Always
2.Sometimes
3.Once (Did not reproduce)
4.Unknown
