That's why they're active in the JP forums. Threads tend to be constructive in general. They also know how to have one big thread of X problem instead of snowflakes who think their new thread about the same problem will get more attention.

Maybe if they were stricter with that sorta stuff it wouldn't happen as much. On several forums I used to frequent they'd close or merge duplicates, I don't see that happening here, not often anyway.
Yeah seriously, it's hard to say "The devs avoid this place because of all those threads about the same issue!" Well maybe if those who ran the forums closed or merged duplicate threads and actually responded to some all those various thread topics it wouldn't happen.
Like.. It's easy to say "If we were more like the JP forums we'd get responses!" but until we start seeing more active work on the dev/CM side of it, I find this hard to believe. Yes, the NA community could do a better job in looking out for similar problems, but not even the big and popular threads get responses.
Plus it still doesn't address the issues of who's threads are "special snowflake" (God I hate that word..) and who's threads are legitimate.
I find ffxiv going like wow they had post at begin of 2.0 that said that too. the only way this game will wow like if the dev start give in to a player group that state one class is to uber then others. for example i used play wow is bst hunter and there was group markmen hunter felt the beast master hunter was over power with it pet ability.
It's not going the way of WoW unless the 3.X patch cycle consists of one raid and Twitter integration.I find ffxiv going like wow they had post at begin of 2.0 that said that too. the only way this game will wow like if the dev start give in to a player group that state one class is to uber then others. for example i used play wow is bst hunter and there was group markmen hunter felt the beast master hunter was over power with it pet ability.
It also helps that the game's developers all speak Japanese and that most Japanese gaming companies focus more on the Japanese market then on the global market.
I agree with this.
We need moderators that will direct people to one thread when multiple threads are being made and/or move things to the correct forums.
Also, an official thread for each job wouldn't be bad either versus a player made thread.
Then they should have those lines translated and posted here.
I'm getting sick and tired from the Japanese folks getting favoritism on everything, like the live letters, that's ignoring 70% if not more of the player base by not even providing a translator.
I'm getting sick and tired of English speaking posters coming over all paranoid and thinking that there is so very much going on in Japanese that they cannot ever know about and then feeling hard done by because of that. You're creating your own hard feelings on baseless assumptions you are making about something.
exept before we had a report of the intervention of the dev from the japanese forum, when was the last time it was posted? often they post it because player do it before. i'm sorry to say that dev talk on the jap forum and it did become quite impossible to have any of this information bring back to any other forum that a bad thing, the communication with the whole community have become extremely bad over the last years and needed to be adressed. if for you is being paranoid.... what you want i say.I'm getting sick and tired of English speaking posters coming over all paranoid and thinking that there is so very much going on in Japanese that they cannot ever know about and then feeling hard done by because of that. other point, it don't take them long to send feedback of the most talked subject on the english forum for get a quick answer.... it's not even the case anymore here. a lot of people say that the forum is bad because tons of subject is created, but believe me if the community manager was creating a subject for get a feedback it will be used, here people don't really use the search function and mostly only look the first page and since the english forum is used by the whole community (and not only the english/american people) you have a looooot of feedback there that are lost.
that don't take long to say: "the feedback was send to the dev. "
and if the dev have answer this: "here the answer the dev have give us on that matter."
it was done while the first years of ARR, but now.... is not the case anymore, they really need to work on the communication that have become quite bad, but i repeat myself there.
ps: people like to know that they was heard and before it reach 100+ page...
