Will lightning strikes event ever return?

As the title says. Just curious honestly. Really want that Snow gear haha. Anyone know if they will bring it back this year?

Given the other two are on there, I'd say its a fairly high chance. Granted I also admit its the only lightning involved game I may try and enjoy.

If the event does comeback then they're going to have to make new glamour weapons for the new jobs. Maybe even new outfits from the other main cast other than Lightning's and Snow's.

I would love to see the event since I haven't heard about this game nor was I financially stable to play it but that being said.. The event has been there 3 times already, I don't think we will get the chance again but I would be fine being in the Cash Shop as I'd love the Lightning outfit and hairstyle myself.

I really do hope that they bring this event back. Personally I would love Lightnings hair or maybe even Fang's gear (as glamours) for my Dragoon.

Anyway, if they bring the event back, it will only benefit new players. Players who have already done the event back in 2013 can't do the quests (which means they will only get to "enjoy" the FATE's. If I remember correctly, you can only buy the weapons using tokens from the lowest level FATE's).

To be fair, this is the guy's very first post. He probably hasn't spent enough time on the forums to know how common this kind of request thread is, and if he's new to gaming forums in general might not be familiar with the search tools that are available. Years down the line, if he still frequents these forums, he may occasionally look back at his first post and cringe, "Really? THIS was how I introduced myself the the forum community? Please kill me..."

To the original poster: It is unlikely that the event will happen again. On the other hand, I never expected it to happen a second or third time, but it did. Regardless, I think it's much more likely that these items will wind up in the cash shop, as others have mentioned, much like the Thancred and Minfilia minions did (spoils from another one-time event likely never to be repeated).

The ponytail hairstyle available at the Gold Saucer shows that they have the ability to add hairstyles via a consumable item, so it's certainly not impossible to have Lightning and Snow hair available in the cash shop, as well.
