Do you read all the quest text?

I only usually read quest text if it has to do with the main story or job/class quests. That's because most of the random leveling quests consist of go there/kill that/fetch that and it usually isn't interesting to read the texts for those quests. What do you guys think?

Only if it's particularly interesting. I skipped every bit of the ROG guild quest text because it was really irritating to read.

I skipped a very good chuck of side story quests especially the moogles....
They became so irritating.

It depends, normally I read all of them, but in HW I skipped a lot of the side quest texts in the last areas. I never skip story quest text though.

I only read main story texts, I feel bad because they really put a lot of effort in giving each npc and quest such a long dialogue, but I turned tired of reading everything.

I read it all (only takes a second!) but not all of it sticks with me. If some guy gives me a quest to go collect hofflegobbers just because he's hungry for a hofflegobber souffle, I'm probably not going to remember the guy next time I see him.

I read all the quest text, as well as seek out side conversation from NPCs without quests. The majority of good storytelling comes in the main scenario and class/job quests, but there's some good lore tidbits, and even in a few cases ongoing poignant stories from characters who don't even have quests for us. The only time I ever skip text is if it's text that I've seen before, like daily beast tribe quests I'll only read the first time I get them and skip over it when repeating the same quest another day. Other than that, I read everything.

Of course, along with the good stories there are also a few quests that really don't amount to much in terms of storytelling, but you don't know which those are unless you read them all.

I try to read most of it but I end up skimming quickly unless it's a very serious part of the MSQ then i'll take my time.

Not only do I read quest text, I talk to the NPC after accepting their quest because they say something new after accepting their quest. AND I read the journal entries too.
