Ninja bad or ok?

If anyone says ninja is currently bad (which it is actually far from being) they are just one of those dps that get mad if their class isn't top dps

Surprised this hasn't been a bigger issue on the boards- this job had a lot protential.

I know this quote is out of context but still, how can ppl say something like this? You do realize that most of the high level progression guilds run a Nin in their party. Not because it's a particular players favorite class, but by pure choice, because Nin brings both very good dps (!) and very good utility. If any of the melee needs a look it's mnk, because even though it's a great pick if there's no drk in the party, having a drk heavily reduces the utility of having a mnk since dragon kick is obsolete and traited mantra is just a 'nice to have'.

This all being said, I agree nin could use some minor adjustments, but just QoL and not in terms of balance.

Everything is "okay." Asking that question is pointless. If you're a raider then you're looking for the best DPS job of which Ninja is one of them currently due to their supportive skills. If you're not a raider, then it doesn't matter because everything outside of raiding is made completely trivial with ilvl 180+.

Ding, hit the nail on the head. I couldn't have said it better myself. Most of the player base are not raiders in any way. So it matters little..

And to the OP.. Please don't call the characters "toons".. Ugh! I shudder when I hear that term. Leave that lingo in WoW. The characters look warrant that name.

I dislike the term toon as well, but something I dislike even more is assuming everything MMO-related came from WoW Toon is an older term than WoW. And tbh, this game is very cartoony as well, it's not super unwarranted there either :P

Because if you're like me, the lag makes it almost unplayable. There is nothing more clunky and lame than having to use almost 3 seconds every time I want to use a jutsu.

Ninja is really good in the meta right now. Both of the top progression groups are running one.

Ya I don't get it. Went from being the highest dps (before HW) which is why I went for it to just being ok. And everyone saying- oh they have 10% which I get is nice bonus. But that silly to justify the dps drop when they had TA all a long before HW.

Only it wasn't okay pre-HW, it was absolutely broken in ARR. Top level DPS and Trick Attack and lost little from real fights, they should never have had all three aspects to begin with.

NIN's pretty much perfect right now. High level groups are including them willingly for very good reasons.

Lets be real here they're far from perfect but yes they're wanted becasue of trick attack. None of the fights are that punishing at least A1-A3 that ninja outshines either of the other melee's its all about trick attack

You make it sound like it's a bad thing, that trick attack is a deal-maker. "Well, yeah, people want a Ninja, but only because they have a really good skill!"
