I just did the Vault as an AST for the first time.

Holy shit was it hard. SO much AoE I was at half mana the entire time if I was lucky. We wiped three times on the final boss before beating it because I simply did not have the ability to heal anyone but the main tank for more than 2 seconds. I couldn't heal more than one pull at a time and even then I had to have Asp Benefic AND be spamming Benefic II on the tank the entire pull.

It was miserable. WTB AST buffs a month ago.

Vault last boss is the nightmare for healers, that's when i really realized that AST really had issues(it was even before spread/lightspeed buffs). Now that i got my SCH to 60 and did vault as well, i never got a wipe on vault(last boss is still challenging for healers in general), and i did it about 8 times while leveling, even with the worst teams and most undergeared people as possible i could heal all through and still finish with around 30-40% mana left and aetherflow almost up for another extra MP. With AST i would almost always finish with near zero mana, many times even with a tank dead and me having no mana to ress so the MNK or DRG starts tanking lmao.

It just really sucks. I feel like there's something more to do than spam Benefic II....but I have no way of making my heals more powerful and that's about all I have for when heavy damage comes in.

It's crazy how some dungeons are super hard then the next tier up is easier. The library is just so much better to run and then I cried during my first Fractal Continuum. We won barely but only after I went OOM in the final boss and died using CU to keep the tank healed up.... Good Times. My biggest issue is i'm an AST noob and still need to learn how to use all my abilities.

I can't say hate for AST since they helped my team in Frontline really much. (But things that makes me cringe is why the Noct Aspected isn't stacked with Galvanize while Medica II stacked with Diurnal Aspected )

Eudyptes is speaking of numerical values of DPS gained through the buff. Not how attack speed is equivalent to 5% bonus damage on all attacks.

It wasn't incorrect, you just misunderstood what I was saying. I never claimed arrow/fey boosted damage numbers, I said they increase dps. There is actually a difference.
