Not really. It'd be super weird to be riding around on an old Elezen dude's avian alter ego. Considering everything Louisoix said about his desire for Phoenix to be kept secret, I don't see how a lore reason could be invented.

Yeah on the secrecy front that's a good point. Still though, the moral of the story is more BLING in mount form please. Kirin was a step in the right direction!
