Dev. Request: Jukebox & a reason to revisit old content

Hey dev team, please please can we have:

Furniture Item: Jukebox

You want us to keep revisiting old content, right? As I'm sure players who haven't done it yet want us to as well. Introduce a music disc loot item for that content. It could have the same drop rate % as the 2.x extreme primal mounts. We could configure the jukebox to shuffle, repeat & create a playlist. The housing area music got really boring and the game has much more enjoyable music to offer to us in a place where we like to hangout!

The jukebox can also be a high-end free company crafting project to add more content to that area and it'd be a massive nod to Soken, which he definitely deserves, especially he has already created the music that were designed for phases/ areas in an easy listening format for the OST!

I like this idea, I'm guessing we would have to run dungeons until some kind of Allagan music device drops.

If this happens I am going to spam the hell out of Pharos and The Lost City.

Didn't Yoshi already confirm this to be coming in 3.1? They wanted to get the jukebox in for 3.0 but had to push it back to 3.1 as they hadn't finalised how players would unlock different music tracks. It sounds like they had most of the features you've requested already planned though.

Can't wait for this, so tired of same old campy tune in housing, usually listen to Pandora, but would be nice to listen to some of the game tracks I like instead.

It was the live letter prior to the expansion launching but I can't for the life of me find a quote right now. I'm afraid you'll just have to take what I say as rumour for now.

Yoshi was talking about the fact that the housing team was off the Gold Saucer so they were free to get back to making new housing features but then they got sidetracked helping with the deadline crunch for launch so things got put back. I think the only new housing feature to make it into the expansion was the music boxes, whilst a bunch of things are now due to release with 3.1 instead. Hopefully we'll hear something about it in the live letter next week.

I'm tired of the basic housing area music. I love the idea of 'discs' as rare drops, it really would get people out farming older content!
