    Game Crashes

    Hello there,

    after being a major MMORPG gamer and mainly a WoW player for 7 years, i thought that it would be cool to try FFXIV while waiting for WoW's new Expansion to come out. (although i dislike the slow combat system of almost 3sec GCD in FFXIV)

    I've been playing the game for what is it, 3-4 days? It totally has crashed 9 times or even more, 4 times crashed just today.

    Other than that, i have some serious flickering on the terrain and on the Trees

    So can somebody tell me why the client is crashing all the time to me? Since i can not find a crash log, like on other MMORPGs......

    Could be hardware related (this game stresses the system more overall than most other games), could be network related (documented routing issues across North America dating back through three US Presidents), or software related (documented problems with drivers for specific devices).

    It will be hard for anyone to give anything more specific without more details on your current environment.

    I'm using a fresh WIN 8.1 version fully updated with the latest NVidia Drivers for my GTX 780 from Asus, the game has been crashing mostly as far i have noticed when i am using Chrome on my secondary monitor.
    I'm paying on an Asus ROG Swift monitor 1440p@144MHz...when i was playing i didnt run any software. It has been randomly crashing anywhere. Once was when i was viewing the map, another time was when i was tying to teleport and when i was just walking....


    Crash logs are very useful, Square Enix doesnt have a crash log system for FFXIV? How do they monitor crashes? Most Pay to Play at least games have a crash log system gathering feedback about crashes...
