Crafting for low level gear in 1.19

I'm a new player played FFXI played FFXIV beta but onyl picked up 14 on Friday just in time for the 1.19 patch.

A friend and I are trying to get established on Selbina server in Limsa leveling Marauder and Conjuror as our main jobs. We seem to have hit a a wall at around lvl 9 where we need new gear but it is incredibly expensive in markets or from NPC even after taking a trip to Ul'dah which has a much better market.

Suffice to say we gave up on buying and are going to try and craft our gear. Did some leves and raised crafting skills to 8 or so for the relavent types. The trouble is recipies now.

Where can we get 1.19 recipies for lvl 6-20 gear say? All I can find online are the out of date recipies which are either require stupidly high skills to make low level items or they require items that don't seem to be available anymore.

Is there a good crafting database somewhere that has purged old recipies from pre 1.19?

The only source I've found of new recipes thus far is the Lodestone.

    http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...d=1&rtgt=1&p=3

You can see the new recipes for some lower-rank equipment made be weaver in the link above.

If you would like to examine the stats of the gear, give ffxivpro.com a try.

    Hi, welcome to the game.

The Lodestone has an updated recipe lists for all crafts and ranks, the link is here, the recipes shouldn't give you too much trouble as long as you attempt them close to your level (the recipes doesn't listed the exact level, but I would assume that if your crafts is at least lvl 10, then you should have no trouble with any of the rank 1-10 recipe, at craft lvl of 5+, rank 1-10 recipes is doable but can be difficult - remember crafting gears helps.)

Also note that NPCs also sell various equipments and materials for making items and gears, you can view the lists of things sold by NPCs here.

If you have any other questions about crafting, just post within this thread and I'm sure people here will try to help you. Good luck!

Edit: Yeah, NPCs gears are quite expensive, but if you're willing to craft your own gears the various mats sold by NPCs can help make it easier on you, since the price of mats (like lower ranks ingots and leathers) within the wards can cost more than what NPC's sell for. I would take note of who sell what especially the more common use mats like (ingots, cloths, glues, lumbers, and leathers). Bronze ingot, hempen/cotton cloth, maple lumber, animal glue, sheep/dodo leather seems to be the more common used items in lower recipes, I would probably buy these off NPC's instead of buying from the wards or farm them.

Sell the lower level items that you make from crafting in the wards at decent prices and I'm sure you'll be able to make a good amount of Gil in return. We really need newbie players to make gears for other newbies.

Ah awesome I found the lodestone list of recipies after making my post but was then struggling for a good way to look up[ the stats. ffxivpro.com seems to be getting quick updates post patch which is just what I need. I had a bought a few things for skillups last ngiht from NPCs but wasn't sure if that was a waste of gil compared to farming nice to know it's viable and there is an easy source for looking up the locations.

    Thank's to you both.
