Commending People Who Leave

Does anyone else think we should be able to give commendations to people even after they've left the dungeon?

It makes me sad, because I want to commend people for good performance, but by the time I've managed to exit out of the cutscenes, they've already left the group. Sometimes, I even miss the opportunity to give them a commendation by a fraction of a second, as their name grays out before I can click it.

I figure if they want commendations they would wait 3 seconds.

Always bugged me too. And it isn't just for their benefit...you get kickbacks for giving commendations. It isn't any game breaking rewards by any means, but it is a nice touch.

Hmmm.

No, unless it only lets you give one to someone who was there for the final boss kill.

But I also don't see the problem. Some people don't want commendations, so they leave.

My suggestion for this one would be to turn on the "Skip playback of previously viewed cutscenes" from your character config.

My PC runs with a bit of struggle on standard and I have that option disabled. By the time the black screen clears out people with a faster computer can already be sitting in their homes chillin with their FC.

As I usually have some message on PSN to check I always tab out while people still in the cutscene... serves me pretty well
But yes in some dungeons (mostly 2.X I think) it is annoying to wait for everyone finish their cutscene and give their commi or not. Luckily in 3.X the cutscenes seem to be better placed AFTER the dungeon/raid

I wish you could commend people on a time out. Sometimes, esp. if you duty finder harder content (ex primals etc), you might have a group that while they didn't clear it, someone obviously went above and beyond...and was patient to boot.
