Look, I don't care if you drink yourself to the floor every night(/day/whatever). I don't care if you're a regular at the local detox. What I do care about, however, is the fact that when you decide to sign up for duty via the DF, knowing full well that you're (too) drunk, you're gonna be wasting everyone else's time in there. If you want to do drunk runs for fun, go ahead, gather your drunk friends in your LS or FC, and go ahead. But stay the f××× away from the Duty Finder, especially if you're a tank or a healer, especially if it's endgame content with a weekly lockout on it, especially if it's less than 24hrs before the reset. Because your drunken stumbling in there is gonna waste anywhere between 20 minutes to 1 hour of 7 (or 6, irrelevant) other people's time, and that's not counting the queue times. And when you're well aware that you're drunk and you shouldn't be doing the content - that's practical harassment, for which you can be reported. You might not receive a penalty right away, you might not receive a penalty the first time, but I'm pretty sure it adds up over time. So, please, do yourself, and your fellow players, a favour and just don't register for duty without an actual party that won't mind your non-functional brain. Thank you in advance.

Honestly can't tell if serious, with these forums.

I just bail if someone says they're drunk or "haha need one sec gotta take a bong hit" (actual thing that happened) at the beginning of a run. No point enduring their idiocy when I could be enduring more mundane sorts of idiocy that is a normal DF run that I can at least work around more easily.

well you have to admit though that his post makes sense even though in DF you get what you get, it doesnt remove the fact that if drunk that he cant make the difference between his toes and head, he shouldnt queue end of story..but is true too that if you are drunk you dont know fully that what you are doing is totally stupid, this is the beauty of being drunk. Nothing forbids you to kick that person though well hoping that it is not the tank...

Ouch OP sorry to hear that, in endgame content as well >.< Eye_Gore is correct though, never know what you're going to get in DF :/ PF may be the way to go for future endgame runs, I do sympathize with you OP.

Drunkards are always the most fun to play with. Back in the day my friend would regularly be tanking drunk in 2nd coil prior to the nerf. DF is for any one to include the sober, the drunk and possibly the high depending on what state you're in. Gotta lighten up and learn to not take everything so seriously. I've dealt with more sober potatoes than trashed potatoes.

It's DF. You get what you're given.Take your own advice and form a party with your sober friends or just vote kick the drunkard if you have a justifiable reason. (And no. 'Being drunk' is not a reason to boot someone)

No not really, though that is usually the go to response when someone has a DF issue. Though I do not get fall down drunk or even pack a heavy buzz. I'll blow down a few beers, loosens me up makes me a little more social. Actually helps calm the nerves a bit, hands get a bit clumsy trying to cycle through 7+ enemies in a mob. I noticed it when I use to play CoD back in the day. No beers = negative KDR, 1-6 beers 4+ KDR, 7-whatever beers = don't even place.
