Switching from Steam trial-version to non-steam version?

Hello there!

I've played the trial-version on steam for some days now and I'm madly in love with this game! Right now it's possible for me to get a copy of the "real" game for a good price (but non-steam version) and so I wondered:

Is it possible for me to switch between the Steam Trial-Version and the non-steam game? I would like to keep my beloved Charakter as well...

I believe it *should* be possible for you to get the game on another platform (PC/PS4) without hindering you at all. You'll just add the code to your account in the Mogstation. The devs have pretty much made it so that if you want to play on a given platform, you have to purchase a key for that platform. I know there were some issues a while back with upgrading via Steam, not sure about just straight up buying it.

I'm just sharing what I can, though. I've only ever had the PC version right from the SE online store.

Log into Mogstation and see if you can add payment details and subscribe from there.

Beware: I am not sure how this may affect you should you want to get next expansion pack - whether you need Steam version or standalone expansion.

The only thing you need from steam are the codes for the game/expansion. I run it completely out of the box. I just bought Havensward key yesterday from steam and entered in the mogstation.
