Old items in moonfire faire

Well slap me with a fish and call me a casserole...

They actually put some old event outfits into the current moonfire faire. All of the swimming suits and yukata that didn't make it into the mogstation are available in game.

As long as they keep that trend going, the mogstation doesn't sting as much. New players get a few diverse seasonal styles, and the art team isn't pressured as heavily into ONLY making costumes each year. If they decide to do a mount or pet one year, they won't be leaving the new players naked.

I wonder if this is the result of people like me ranting about mogstation items for the last year.

People where already pointing out that they did before. SE likes to have a few things go up on the shop every so often, but still give good rewards for events.

As far as I can tell, the ones that were put into the Mog Station were the ones that were the actual quest rewards. The ones available with the event were vendor ones from last year.
This was probably the plan all along, quest rewards to cash shop, vendor stuff available again through the vendor. Still nice to have some stuff available again for people who didn't get it before.

I think that's perfectly fair. You shouldn't just be able to buy past quest items for gil if you didn't do the quest, so this is a good compromise.

Glad to see they actually kept everything in but a little messy that the outline didn't mention that old stuff would be returning like last year probably shaked a few 1000$ outta the community by leaving that detail out

Seems to me it was already planned that way beforehand, or they would have just put all of it up in the cash shop which is what they've been doing with every previous holiday event since last October. The ranting didn't really start until after those yukatas went up in the shop, I doubt it had any effect on their decision. I do wonder why the delay in telling us the rest of it was going to be on a vendor though.

all the item that cost 3 token to 5 are old items, from a vendor in costa at the event area

I do want to say Thank You to SE for listening to our feedback here and offering an in game way to obtain the items again.

Ideally, all items would be obtainable again and the mogstation would be available for those that miss the event and don't want to wait, or just don't want to bother with the questing/FATEing... but this is a start.
