How do you handle "ragequit" content?

Why would you forcibly try to keep someone around who you don't want to play with, and obviously they don't want to play with you?

Because their time is not more important then the others who are asking to be kicked.
Got a Dark hold as low level roulette 2 weeks ago the healer demanded to be kicked and this is when they were stupid going far ahead from the tank and getting us killed. So no they can eat a 30 min penalty if they want out and they did because they left and our time was ruined because no new healer came and after 10 min we just left. So your comment on being petty it immature tell me who's really being immature oh ya and I qued as a DPS so it took forever to get in.

Yes and no. To use the Aurum Vale example again, a DPS that doesn't eat fruit, stands in pools, etc etc isn't really training the healer*. It's just stressing them out and potentially getting that person angry at the healer. Coincounter, at least, OHKOs for mistakes, but if they won't listen (or maybe just lag that much)... see below.

Thornmarch... same deal. If someone just won't follow the kill order no matter how much you plead with them, it's just a waste of time.

Now if you get someone generally new who fixes their mistakes... that's not so bad. Those newbies aren't the problem. The problem is those who don't care and don't listen. (And usually get away with it because 90% of the game's content lets them ignore mechanics.... including most guildhests, which are supposed to be training and are optional anyways)

*If the healer is genuinely new I guess it does teach them that sooner or later you have to stop healing the guy messing up, but it does so in the worst possible way. But most healers are not new and thus the dungeon is just a healer stress/rage generator.

Spent an hour and a half helping a load of newbies with titan ex as 60...

Tried as mch always last alive, with the experienced healer.

Replaced tank he somehow kept getting knocked off new one couldn't hold hate so I switched to mt

Again just me and healer left last 20%...

Complete waste of time but I tried lol really got close to screaming at these for not learning to Dodge landslide in an hour and half....

Of all the things that anger me in this game, nothing does it 'better' than quitters. And it's getting pretty bad. I did a Leveling Roulette into Brayflox and both the tank and healer /leave after the first pull. The pull went fine, noone died, all the mobs were dead... though it was a large pull, near the whole first room, but nothing went wrong. Wound up cycling the other DD (I was Monk at the time, trying to get that Mantra) before getting a new tank and healer and we finished the dungeon with nary a single problem. This isn't to say it's just been limited to there. I swear I've almost pulled out my own hair at Alexander quitters.

Honestly, I think you would see a lot less ragequitting if people who are new to a dungeon would take the two seconds to type "Hi, first time here" instead of saying nothing and then causing a wipe because they don't know the mechanics.

If you're new and say so, I'll be happy to explain bosses to you. If you just stay silent and wipe the entire party, I won't ragequit, but I will be grouchy for the rest of the run and will also be less inclined to help you out. You want courtesy, be courteous to others. You'd be surprised how many people are willing to help out if you just say that you need it.

It's not that simple. In doing many dungeons in Heavensward if the new player message popped up I'd say, "Hi, I'm new, anything I should know?" whether I was new or not, and more often than not noone would say a thing. Not one word. It's not just that new people in the dungeon aren't talking, it's that almost everyone is silent until something goes south. Then they find their voice in some of the worst ways.

It's my mindset. I'll stay because it doesn't stress me out, and I'll leave if it does. If there are players who constantly wipe the group, a tank who takes 2 mins in between all pulls, a healer who afks every 5mins, then I'll leave. If it isn't fun, I'll gladly eat the penalty. On the flip side, if the group is trying their hardest but failing from time to time, I'll stay.

There are 2 times I leave content:
1) The tank left and we were unable to get a new one within 15 minutes.
2) I join a crumbling party in progress, which is supposed to be 8 men, but only 3 are left, and every new person joining instantly quits.

Otherwise I either try my damndest to clear, and help the people struggling, or (if they are not showing any sign of progress) I initiate a vote kick.

I have NEVER eaten the 30 minute penalty for leaving first.
