How do you handle "ragequit" content?

By "ragequit", I'm referring to any trial or dungeon that people seem to not have much patience for: DD, Aurum Vale, Dragon's Neck, Thornmarch, etc.

I just did an undersized AV run for my paladin Atma book and I realized that of the two times I've attempted to tank it normally, both times I've had party members ragequit on the first wipe. The thing is, no one says anything or provides any feedback; they just drop. Hence why I just did an undersized party run with a few friends.

I've seen a lot of this in Dragon's Neck and Thornmarch, too. I get it: if you're trying to card farm it gets boring quickly. But maybe I get too optimistic, because I've never initiated a kick or a vote abandon, and most of the time I vote "no" on the vote abandons.

So what do you do? How likely are you to stick around after the first wipe?

Unless I'm in a really bad mood or have something to do, I'll stick around for at least 3-4 wipes. If it becomes clear that something just isn't going right, I'll leave or vote abandon.

Depends on my mood or attitude of the party members involved.

I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

Honestly a lot of that content isn't bad if the party is minimally competent. But then, you know, there's that catgirl lizardgirl that stands in the gold pools and doesn't eat fruit, and so on...

I generally won't drop at the start, but if the party's scrubby, I'll just eat the 30 minute cooldown and go do something productive. Well, as much as playing a game can be productive...

    What a petty, immature attitude.
Why would you forcibly try to keep someone around who you don't want to play with, and obviously they don't want to play with you?

The only thing I ragequit if I'm on bad mood is steps of faith. Even Aurum Vale is fun compared to that dumb ****.

For all the talk of ragequit content, they make great role training.

If one doesn't want to be there, why not just leave and eat the penalty? Honestly, you dont need to beg to be kicked, if you don't wanna be there. Just take the pen, go chill out for 30. Try again after.

Because I'm sure everyone had that guy where you kick him cause, like you said, but... oh.. wait.. look he's here again.

I won't force the group to do anything, but just saying. No one can force you to stay.. but don't beg to avoid a penalty, lmfao.

That's the thing though. They are not "forcibly" being kept around. They can leave any time they want. They knew what the deal was when they queued up for the roulette, and they can man up and eat the penalty if they choose not to be in that particular dungeon/trial.
