Immersion is getting on the Thanalan to Limsa ferry and having to go sit inside the ship when it is raining because it gives you the shivers irl

Immersion is not getting on an airship to any city and arriving instantly

Although I do not like the airship idea this IS SE's game after all and in the end what they do is what they do, I just hope they don't cater to people saying to make it easier all the time since this is why WoW has now lost a lot of it's subscribers, It has become a boring game with no immersion and all that matters is getting to max level and farming "phat lewt"

I am hoping with all my heart that this does not happen to FFXIV because this game is bloody beautiful and I -really- want to keep playing it.

But fun does not have to ruin Immersion, I was sitting in the ferry RP'ing on the fly with a few others that were on the ferry at the time... was amazingly fun

I agree, it's like, "why take the airship when I can teleport? It's cheaper and more convenient!"

Personally, the airship looks primitive (Lolhot-air ballon) and I wouldn't mind sky pirate coming down on it to kidnap, pillage and w/e. One-time CS was interesting but not immersive. 2k airship ride, "yeah right!"
