I don't understand wehythe system was implemented this way, and I honestly wonder if it isn't a little bugged. I entered Seal Rock with a party member, and he got kicked right before the match started for being away. I'm not even certain it was a full two minutes, unless it counted him as being inactive immediately after pressing the "Ready" button.
Meanwhile, people that are only in Seal Rock to cap on tomes don't bother to respawn after dying, and stay there for inordinate amounts of time. Again, I did not look at the clock, but I'm fairly certain it was for more than two minutes.
To avoid being kicked when watching a node, I generally run around to the other side of it to see if anyone is coming from far away. Just keeping myself busy -- and alive.
