Button bloat is getting pretty serious in this game lol so I know your pain.

That being said, my bard has all useful abilities on one hotbar and an extended hotbar. It's not really an issue. I hear blm can get all their stuff on a single hotbar, too. Talking ps4 of course, but same deal.

Well you could always just play a PLD which has like the easiest rotation in the game and has the least amount buttons to press at anytime. Here is an example and this isn't me just so that we have that clear.

For DPS since you already have a BLM I would go with BRD for the next one since the job doesn't have to many buttons to use most of the time. Here is a video example and again its not me.

MCH is probably the worst of the lot. SMN would probably be ideal for him and the gear from blm would benefit it. If another caster isn't what your looking for then NIN (latency permitting), or MNK.

SMN gets disqualified as soon as you realize you're expected to manage your pets.

SMN has a pretty complex opener that if screwed up puts you behind in DPS unless he does it the other way where he uses all the buffs at the same time but if optimal DPS he would have to be weaving them in and out constantly with ogcd abilities and using ruin 2. Also you gotta time your aetherial stacks properly otherwise you miss out on dreadwyrm trance. SMN is not an easy job. Easy to play but hard to master.

If you played SMN, you'd soon realize there isn't much managing to do considering they've made many abilities either get reduced dmg to egis, or just not affect them at all. Oft times you honestly do not have to worry about it, esp with garuda. Contagion and radiant shield are the only two abilities one will often use, as the rest are either a dps loss or plain not worth using and it aint hard to use them once per minute. One can even ignore the AoE ability and it would go largely unnoticed as its low potency, small radius, and a 30s cd.

I don't believe the OP has an issue with it being hard to master.

Correct, hard to master doesn't bother me. Like I said, the rotation can have complexity as long as it feels okay physically. I'm not looking for easy I'm looking for something that's not overcluttered and needlessly convoluted.

"Ignore the aoe" is a poor argument, since it means you're ignoring things that are a direct DPS boost. If you're going to ignore it just because it's low potency and a 30 second CD, you'd have to ignore, say, Blunt Arrow on BRD. Same with Contagion. If we're not gonna count it as part of the rotation just because it's a 60 second CD, there go most of the CDs in the game. At that point you're ignoring Invigorate, B4B, IR, DWD, Duality, Mug, and TA on NIN, for example.

A better argument would be something like this: We're only really talking about rotational abilities, so Summon, Place/Heel, and Obey/Sic don't count, because you can pretty much fire-and-forget those before the battle. Sustain is rarely if ever used, Physic never used, and Rez used only if something has gone wrong and it's the SMN's turn to rez. Also, Tri-Bind is nearly useless.

That argument at least reduces the number of keybinds without sacrificing DPS.

While blm is the ovbious choice here, it has some way more maintenance with buffs, spells and cooldowns even though the bloat is a bit less.

Worst bloat is by far summoner, it's just disgusting honestly.

Nin actually doesn't have much bloat, a few things can be combined together, it's not bad at all. I've played all the other classes, and darknights are pretty bad with it also.

    Blm / nin / and.,,whm? aren't bad for bloat.

    Don't do drg.

    Warrior. By far.

    1. Turn on deliverance.
    2. Pop unchained.
    3. Use fell cleave.
    4. Wait for unchained to come off cooldown and repeat steps 3 and 4.
