    DPS class with the fewest buttons?

    Hello, DPS forums.

    I need help deciding on my next class and really one of the deciding factors is number of buttons. The rotational abilities in this game are off the charts and I am not too good at Shift + key bind combos. I *can* do it but I have small hands so my reach is crummy.

    Keep in mind that the rotation can be complex, I don't mind that, if there are fewer rotational abilities I can manage it. Or if the class has abilities that can be macroed together safely (rare, I am aware), I can manage it.

    Just don't tell me it's BLM. I know BLM fits the bill in many ways but I'm already BLM.

    I would avoid any of the melee classes then, because for an optimal opener you have to weave in a ton of oGCD abilities, and continue weaving them the entire fight.

    I.E. The Dragoon opener:

    H -> [BL+BFB] -> ID -> [DRAC-POT] -> DI -> [IR + BOTD] -> CT -> [PS+ LEGS] -> 4TH -> [GK] -> P -> [JUMP] -> TT -> [DFD] -> VP -> [LIFES] -> FT -> [SPD] -> 4TH -> Repeat

    Same for BRD and MCH. Summoner also has a decent amount of oGCDs to weave with the Aetherflow abilities.

    So yeah, that pretty much leaves Black Mage.

    Out of the 3 Melees the one with the least finger-tangling would be the Monk, imo, seconded by NIN. Let's just not talk about DRG and SMN...

    Yeah I guess MNK and NIN aren't too bad. You hit less buttons, but do it faster than DRG.

    I wouldn't say NIN because you have to use Mudras in one GCD.

    I'd say MCH. They have a lot of abilities with shared cool downs; some of which are very situational to the point you won't need them in most cases like Stun or bind

    I laughed a little a this. MCH don't have a lot of buttons, you funny. Ignoring the 2 CC only skills (which you should be using anyways for cutting animations) I am using a good 30 or so of those buttons on my bar. Not only that, MCH has some REALLY low cool downs.

    You said you didn't want us to tell you it's BLM....but it's BLM. Nowhere near the number of rotational abilities that the other jobs have. Lots of cooldowns/debuffs you can weave in, but very few that are required for an optimal rotation.

    Stripping down the basic offensive skills you can get down to about 15 skills on BLM. Gutting a monk the same way also puts you around 15, ninja is around 20, dragoon also around 20.

    Of course there's always the one button bard (or monk) where you have everything in one macro and just hit that button 1-2 times every 2.5 seconds.
