Only the previous members of the Path of the twelve had the echo. but i too wonder what happened to them after they fused with the circle of knowing, creating the scions.

we know that there are more echo users around, even beastmen. It is probable, but i dont recall anything specific sayng that all of them were echo users/all other echo users from the Path are dead. I would expect it more if they had just left, most of them.

yes, the ''breaking boundaries of existence'',or atleast something like the echo, since Lahabrea and other ascians hint they have it, but makes more sense to not be exactly Hydaelyn's blessing. Because, Ascians.

Really? I thought the others also had The Echo. I must have been confused because I could have sworn that the others, like Thancred, managed to avoid tempering because they had The Echo. Which begs the question, if nobody else has The Echo, why are they constantly looking for primals and running in to dangerous places that would very likely get them tempered?

Thancred got possessed by Lahabrea, so he certainly didn't have it.

The Archons weren't echo users only Minfilia's Path of the Twelve. And most of the Path of the Twelve were, as I previously said, killed by Livia sas Junes. It's possible the few survivors did have it as well but they were imprisoned by the Crystal Braves at the time of the Ravana and (iirc) Bismark flights.

So the only confirmed echo users post 2.55 are Iceheart who is now Deceased, Minfilia who is MIA, and the WoL who's power is on the verge of breaking Mortal Limits with the return of The Blessing of Light.

Most were killed in the calamity, like our (legacy) path companions, others in the raid on The Waking Sands in 7AE. There may be a couple left, still at The Sands with Urianger, but I haven't checked in on them in a while. Perhaps it's time for a census.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but don't The Ascians also have The Echo?

When facing Lahabrea and Igyorhym, Lahabrea says that he will show you the true power of The Echo and then he calls it the "power to break the barriers of existence." They then use this power to fuse and create Ascian Prime. If The Ascians can use The Echo, that might mean that other Echo users are not necessarily protected from the influence of The Ascians themselves.

Eisen-Zorn has the right of it. Ascians do possess the Echo, as well as an intimate knowledge of it's abilities.

Although, while there's nothing saying that Echo-users are protected from Ascian possession, Kaiser is right in that Thancred is not woken. Of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, Minfilia is the only member, aside from ourselves, with the Echo.

I was under the impression that Arenvald had the echo, since he was originally recruited because of his strange dreams.
