    Can my black chocobo fight beside me?

    Dumb question but I am not sure as of the answer. The only reason I want this is so I don't have to keep dismissing my land chocobo to fly on my black chocobo.

    No, it can't, but there are a series of quests that makes your personal chocobo able to fly.
