I was actually dissapointed that the new mode carried the individual limit breaks over from slaughter. I agree the limit breaks are cheesy and even though I play melee and therefore benefit from it more than other jobs (I still cant help but laugh when ranged classes lb me as it very rarely ever kills me) I'd rather they remove it entirely. I'm also not entirely in love with the battle high system either since it shifts engagements away from a level playing field but at least its a reward for actually playing well. The individual limit breaks however just allow clowns who would otherwise be unable to kill opponents under normal circumstances one shot them if they happen to be melee (and then proceed to pop fireworks as if killing you via lb took some sort of skill worthy of celebration).
