So its become clear we need to rethink how we grind.
Mobs have become almost unsoloable above our own level now.
I will be testing mob strength and xp values and will post the best grind spots for R1-50.
Please stay tuned.

Anyone seen ANY camps from the ~20 range that were suitable for level 23-25? All the camps seem to be a mix of 20-22's with occasionally 23 and 24s, or 29+... which makes it VERY hard for the mid range to grind and keep exp chains up after you outgrow the 20-22 camps.
there're some crabs I think southeast of bloodshore along the coast, by sykes.
Every time I visit the lodestone forums now I wind up thinking of the sound of a toddler throwing a tantrum.

crabs are only good to 20-21. I'm honestly not sure where to go after that but at 25 you can do east of horizon or young raptors if you're careful.

20-22 Cactuars W of Horizon for 17-20ish classes works well.
27-29 Cactuars SW of Camp Horizon for 20+. You need to watch out and be careful not to pull too many links. Was in a group of 5 today all around 21 and we could handle 3 at once with a some work. Chain 3-4s with 400 exp a pop.
Neither of these camps are viable for solo exp, but in a group of 4 or more, Cactuars are pathetically squishy.
There's a great group of Opo-opos just west of Totorak. It's a small clearing north of Tranquil - they spawn at a crazy rate and they're all rank 25, so they'd be great for a small party and can be AoE'd the snot out of. Not sure about solo since they wrecked solo play.
Another area that my lowman groupmates found was the Molting Mitelings in Nophica. There's a group just near the entrance to Nophica that are rank 30-31, which would also be great for a decent party. Another group of them are on the east side (33-36) and a higher group of them are on the northwest side (37-39).

I love the change that they have made to the mobs in this game. Making solo play harder is the reason me and all of my friends decided to start the game again.
Finding camps is certainly hard though since everything is completely wrong now so I've been looking for a thread of people talking about camps.
Me and my friends are all around 20 now. Going to try the Oilbugs and Opo-opo's Northwest of Tranquil, They are around 18-22 so probably good for keeping up a chain since that seems like the way to go now.
bump awaiting a good list to know where to lvl
Death Is Only The Beginning....

There's a ton of 26-28ish Sheep south of camp horizon. Nophica's wells has a 34ish? beastmen camp and quite a few 38ish Diremite baby camps. Just look around in a zone of a similar level, in out-of-the-way places. There's an absolute ton of potential camps.

The biggest problem and my friends are having is we will find a decent amount of mobs at a good level but its not enough to keep a exp chain going. Or the complete opposite, The mob density is so high that we link non stop and end up dying Lol.
We'll try the sheepThanks Estellios
