Regardless of how you play while intoxicated one would think that giving a warning message to your party should be appreciated. At least then their stupidity can be better understood.

But then again if they are being complete dipshits about it they are probably only looking for attention.

I don't know how to explain it, but other than her giggle-fits she'll be the flawless White Mage her sober self always wants to be.

Not that she's terrible while sober, she's just extremely improved while drunk.

to me that means that u need keep her drunk cuz as a sober player she probably won't do a good performance. If she is a better healer as a drunk person more power to her. Just don't let her play when she is sober =D

Silly OP... You need not worry about these guys that enjoy playing the game drunk, on that kush, or anything else they prefer like lighting incense. I'll tell you this, a true drinker, or stoner, is gonna play much better while he is buzz, than if he is sober. Actually its usually the same performance, except they get less frustrated, more tolerable to teammates dying, and laugh at things like putting up a 1 trying to lot for loot.

It overall makes the hamster wheel not feel as bad... I'm on the kush every raid night, hell every game night, but what you need to watch out for are those people that are mad at their real life, and they get really really drunk because of it, and find it fun to make you mad by messing up the raid... those are the drunks you are referring to, and 9 times out of 10 they were jerks before they were drunk lol.

I had a guy in an old static that would show up to raid fine and by the 2nd hour he was hammered. We used to have to end raid early because some one was "tired" it was pretty interesting.. You know a guy is pretty drunk when they mute the mic on Vent/TS/Mumble.

Anyways if your doing duty finder there really is no way to complain about the group you end up with. If its an issue for you then que up as the important job like tank or healer..

Just because you que as DPS and waited for 1 hr to get in to be paired with a drunk guy dont mean its the drunk guys fault you waited an hour. SE is to blame for the long que times they should have designed the system better.

I never had any of those 'suddenly amazing while drunk' player and only the 'im going to black-out just enough so the party will wipe yet again and then laugh about it' type of person, so to me now if I get anyone drunk or high in duty I'm more likely to leave at any sign of things going bad, tired of having to deal with people doing what they want and expecting to get people who enjoy wiping 5 times on the same thing.

Because you usually won't notice someone is drunk/tipsy, if they are performing well, since they often have no reason to tell you.

I have just now finished an Alwaysreap run after 5 beer (= tipsy), all the players were in i180ish, but the tank pulled surprisingly slowly (we even had SMN), usually when sober, I would just heal, and sit back. But dunno why, when tipsy, I have the need to perform, so I stance-danced (cleric), and did as much DPS as I could, I also insta-Leaches on the second boss (when sober, I don't care enough, I just leaches, when I see the DoT on the player, not when I see the targeting), and stuff like that. Nobody died, nobody was ever in danger...

DON'T throw drunk players into one sack! Alcohol influences people differently!
