I think it's eally better to be able to know which job you are at looking at you instead of having to open the box to see your class.
I'm not doing RP at all, but i like the way it is now.

More general stuff, ok, but do not remove specific job gear.

You should be able to tell what role they are just by the weapon. The clothes should be interchangeable since we can glamour gear that is open to all roles. All parties can fight in bikinis, chocobos or moogle outfit.

Exactly, there is also the player bar at the top that also shows the class/job as well. If you can have a WAR in a Bikini, why can I not have the DRG helm on my NIN?

I doubt it- I have never seen an MMO glamour system where you could glamour items your class/job were unable to wear.

Because dragoon helm is a special type of armor given to only dragoons? Theres a difference between a bathing suit and armor given to a specific job (only)

I agree, the only glamour restriction I would accept is on AF gear.

I understand what you are saying and it makes sense. Personally I like the look of some armor pieces and would like to be able to glam it to other classes.

This response for this issue has always astounded me.

If you cant wear it, you cannot glamour it.
Its agains(*against) logic and common sense to do it otherwise.

In real life I could wear every outfit. In fact what you say goes against logic and common sense.
