Adopt a newbie program! FF14 edition!!

***Introduction***

So, FF14's combat has become a bit.. complex with Heavensward. One might even say it actually takes some skill and effort now to play a character to it's fullest (unlike most MMO's!).


People have parsers like ACT, but even with them they can only see their DPS, not how to make it comparable to other players. So they struggle, get annoyed, make excuses like I DO WUT I WANT! and stop caring/trying. But it's only out of frustration, and not wanting their game to become a job with doing tons of research.

and I know alotta you frown on that, and it shows by all the posts im seeing on here, and complaints in all the FF14 facebook groups and such.
BUT! some people just wanna have fun... and player interactions are a fun way to learn vs tons of reading and research! and it's important that new players enjoy their learning experience and not have it be so formal!


SO! I suggest we start an adpot a newbie program!



***What we'll do in this program***


The whole thing will be very simple.

- New players, post here if you need help with your rotations, or aggo holding, or healing, or ANYTHING related to playing your character!

- Put down what you need, what your goals are, maybe a little bit about yourself if you wanna be social about it, and then your server/contact info (email, messanger, ign for in game mails, whatever you want).

- Once you've posted, the more experienced members of the community will then look at your posts, and contact you if they're willing to mentor you.

- After you've been contacted, edit your post to say that you're being helped and add in who's working with you.


***AND THATS IT***


It's that simple guys!

We, the community, in this topic, will take active steps to making our game/communities within it a better place for ALL of us.


Also, quick side note! If you find that your mentor has done an exceptional job, and you enjoyed your experience quite a bit working with said mentor then leave some comments about them and your time spent with them!
