DoT Tracking - Focus target

I asked this over in the UI forums but figure ask here too.

Friend of mine is looking for assistance in tracking his DoTs as a healer. He wanted to use his focus target frame for it, but there's no way he can filter out anything on it, and other folks' debuffs are pushing his DoTs off the visible list.

Suggestions? Or is this just something he needs to deal with until they give us addons? Because you can filter out others' debuffs on the *target* window, but not the focus target? Unless there's something we're missing..

No, focus target ui is very limited. It shows less status effects and everything. Why may I ask is the healer so worried about their HOTS??? you can just check them on a dummy...works just the same.

You can change settings so only your DoT's show up under the boss and not a huge pile.

Under one of the settings, I can't remember but someone should tell you, there is an option you can click that says "Show only Detrimental Effects you cause."

There are only 5(?) buffs/debuffs shown @ focus target, and usually you'll see other DoTs than your own, because they are not sorted in the same way as on the "target".

The option to "Show only Detrimental Effects you cause." does not apply here. Particulary this is a very bad option, since you can't see Virus, Trick attack and all other 'interesting' debuffs of others.
Second, if you're in a trial/dungeon (and not @ an A/S-Rank) the boss will never have too many debuffs to keep track of your own on the 'target'.

But on focus target this option would be very nice to keep track of remaining DoT-time for SCH/SMN and others.
