Just buff Astrologians

I'm a dragoon, and seeing what ASTs are dealing with disgusts me. Buff them. Just buff their potencies by like 20%. Who gives a shit. Deal with class mechanics later, when you figure it out. There are players who have invested in this class, and literally cannot play the game because of it.

Just buff them. Make them overpowered. Nobody gives a shit at this point.

The beauty of healing classes is that the gear associated with the roles is shared between the three. If they "literally cannot play the game because fo it" they should probably just swap to another healing class for the time being.

Changes take time, and telling SE just to "buff it" is stupid, because it might tilt healing too far to one spectrum and reduce the difficulty of actual difficult content.

We aren't talking about Astro's being, 5, 10% behind. Perfect balance is pretty much impossibe, 5-10% differences is common. They have nailed it with dps (blms could use some love). Astro's literally cant join parties.

Esoterics also shares accessories. Prioritize accessories, and get whoever it is who literally "can't play the game" and talk to their other healer/raid about rolling on actual drops from savage/upgrade items drops. A1-A3 can be cleared with the bare minimum (<190).

We won't see significant changes (like warrior) until a major content release - don't expect anything in the miniature patches. The best option is to work on accessories first (play WHM/SCH in the meantime) and wait until atleast 3.1 to seriously consider playing AST. Or play it regardless, because it is possible to clear atleast A1/A2 savage with AST (not sure about A3, not many have cleared)

I mean absolutely no disrespect in saying this, but that is a terrible answer to the issue. I agree whole-heartily that change takes time, and I don't want just a buff to be mini whm/sch. But to say just switch to another healing job is ludicrous. Heck, one of the reasons fun stuff like elemental weakness was removed was to ensure certain jobs were excluded or told to change. Here's hoping we do get a little love in an area that allows us to shine not more than whm/sch, but in a different way than them. Cheers!^ ^

I was only responding in extreme because the OP was posting in extremes

"Literally can't play the game" is not true. AST can play the game fine atm. Not amazingly but fine.

I don't think he meant they couldn't play the game. I think he was referring to the many groups starting to appear setting their healers spots for WHM and SCH only.
