Because of this I can't play the game.

I'm crashing when I change weapons in Thanalan. I'm getting the 30002 error I used to get when I did macro equipment swaps. Coincidence?

I'm also having the world map problem in Gridania. I don't have the other problems you have, though. If I were to guess, something got corrupted during the patching and we'll have to reinstall... but I am waiting on a more educated response because this is not my expertise.

If there is some way we can repatch the game, that might work, but is there any way to do that without reinstalling?

I attempted reinstalling everything and it still did not fix my issues. It would be great if a dev could make light on something I can do since the game is unplayable at this point.

EDIT: I've narrowed the inventory issue down to two items in my inventory that cause the crash. I'd like to have them removed if possible. The Taurus Staff and Astaroth Cane. Whenever they appear in my inventory the game will automatically crash. Please if a dev could remove them, you have my permission.

Yeah... I've crashed myself in Gridania like over 10 times trying to enlist in my company. Checking the map is a major habit for me, I like to see where I'm going especially with the size of the maps in XIV. I've noticed something possibly odd about my map, maybe you can test it on your end too and maybe it could serve to narrow down the problem a little bit. I can view the Gridania map anywhere except for a large chunk around the town. I can view Nine Ivies, Tranquil, and Emerald Moss areas, but Grid/Bentbranch crash me if I scroll my map into that area. It's like the "zone map" for Bentbranch/Grid is missing/corrupted or something, idk.

I'm having the EXACT same issues. Like you I also have a Taurus Staff in my possession and think that may be the root of my inventory crashing problems. Currently in the process of having a friend log in for me and seeing if he can drop it...

As for the map and the regimentals thing, I guess only SE will be able to solve that =(

Hey all, I am also having the same problem on two different PCs and SE accounts. I tried re-installing the game to no avail.
It appears to be that only Conjurer staves that are causing the client to crash. I have tried speaking to the NPC in Ul'dah that sells Weathered Cane, Johannes Merchant Strip (7, 4), and it DID crash the client as well.

In fact, I did thought of asking a friend to throw my staves, but that will really not solve the root problem.

Edit: Confirmed that Gridania Map is also crashing the client... Apparently we are in a common issue.

I am also having difficulty with the game crashing when I load the The Black Shroud map or just randomly doing things. I was near Bentbranch and Emerald Moss when loading the map.

<edit> I also just randomly crashed in Gridania while talking to an NPC in the Twin Adders area.
