FFXIV 2nd expansion: Viera-like race still a possibility?

Im not arguing about their abities im just saying its pretty hypocritical to say viera are not different enough and then make a race that is a human being with a pearl glued to its forehead.

Garleans are most likely a third sub-race of Hyurs. Anyway, your argument towards them looks like you're grasping for straws, as, like I said, Garleans will never be playable. If your argument was about Viera just being NPC's and also never being playable, then okay. You've got something... but you don't. Yoshi-P was clearly talking from a playable race standpoint.

As Nestama said, Garleans will never be playable due to the fact they can't use magic, and your playable race not having any bearing on your chosen jobs is a selling point of FFXIV.

I also want to point out that the concept art given to us shows that the developers were already thinking about the fact that Viera have similar bodies to current Elezan.

You can clearly see the girls were being designed with a more pear shaped body, with larger hips and thighs.
That's quite a difference in the long run from Elezan fashion model-esque and lanky bodies.

Also, is it true that the Ghost costume can't be glamoured? I was thinking of getting it and I don't even know if you can glamour it onto armor, or even if you can ready your weapon with it on. >.>'

The Ghost Costumes can be glamoured.
They use to not be but the Devs fixed it.

Personally I've never been a big fan of small / lalafell type races, and I'd prefer the other version. However, it would make a great sub-race, like midlanders and highlanders.

I think the way this game would be likely to implement Viera would look pretty much identical to an Elezen wearing the Bunny Crown. I don't think it's worth a whole race for something that can already be done (at least by females) with just a glamoured headpiece.

You obviously do not know what a Viera is... because Elezen or so disproportional. Please go to google and type "Viera".
