Whatever race they might add, we need another "badass/Roegadyn/7ft tall" female race. Enough of the overly cute and small females races.

Personally I would prefer if they increased the options with the present races rather than adding a new race.

Albeit chances are they can't until they drop PS3 support.

Stop with the new races and focus on expanding what we currently have please.

A lot of people enjoy the new races and are excited to see more. Nothing wrong with new content just because it's aesthetic.

To the OP, I would love to see more races, but as Yoshida himself said, they're barely any different from the rest of the races. I'd like to see some races that don't look human like, or at the very least, more beast like. Even Miqo'te should have had some fur options other than the tail, and Au Ra could have been made more dragon like imo.

I was also disappointed with the lack of customisation for Au Ra, although I love the race. Inb4 PS3 limitations, but I think we should have been able to have different scale colours, customise the body scales, and have the horns separate from the faces. The races could all do with some work.

Sorry to jump back to this, but, I wonder if that artwork was not meant to be concept art for a hypothetical race, but is actually hinting at the future inclusion of this lycanthorpic chap from FFV and VI.

Given the fact that image only shows a male of that 'race', I'm liable to not read too much into it as a possible future player race and just the inclusion of another character from a past FF game (even if said character was a very minor npc).

Kind of like here... Does anyone actually play anything but a catgirl in this game? First game with elves in it I've ever seen where they are actually unpopular...

I think the elezen aren't very popular here because of their weird proportions and awkward facial structure. Also, the males' idle animation seems to have a very subtle shake to it, like they're always trembling, and once you see it you can't unsee it. The females look like they've never learned how to run.

and i do not mind what it is
as long as it stay out of the current race we have
a new race, not a sub of current
and i do not care it is beasty or humanoid
although i am quite sure i would be another humanoid
the culture difference between our country and the western are huge
not only the story line, not only the mechanics, but also the art and design
WoW is a hit in western, but barely known in our country
i m not against new race or how it design
i just do not have high expectation on a beasty race will be create
even-though i would love to have more diversity
