Vote-kicked for explaining 1st-timer tactics and having impatients get what's coming

As a healer main, I believe both points so far. Tanks aren't entitled, as my husband is a tank PLD and he is definitely slow sometimes, we made a rule if someone else pulls they get punished, (Our best friend is BLK and he pulls early cause he is impatient save him at 1 health a lot for it) but yeah if its a situation where someone thinks the tank is too slow I understand letting them feel the aggro burn d: but sometimes the tanks also act a little high and mighty commanding us and getting aggressive.

1st this MNK in The Vault that refuse to dps marked target, told him to focus on marked and he started telling me how bad I am as a tank and that he wish he see me tanking with 2 BLM and suffer, did not take long and I voted kick him successfully then, I could troll him till he ragequit but Was tired from a long day with my father who is admitted to the hospital and my trolling skills to the elitists and their variants was weak today sadly.

2nd time today a pair of frenchies in this lvl59 sharalyn library dungeon, told them not to ninja pull but no respond till they ninja pulled one pack and I just left them, the non-frenchie dps died and I ran away from them, later on the frenchies ran into me expecting me to tank their ninja pulled pack but I stood there, nevertheless, the next pack they patiently waited for me to pull then later did the dungeon and gave 0 commendations.

Sometimes you need to be strict with some type of players for them to learn the hard way.

For me, its not that I'm entitled, its that I wish for you to live, if you accidentally aggro something or grab something on purpose, you best get it in range of my flash and circle of scorn or else you will die, I should not move my packs halfway across the map just to save you other dps does not like it if I move around too much especially melee dps. If I do small pulls in certain parts of the dungeon its for a good reason, and for the most part its usually after the first boss of the new expert dungeons.

Haha, I always found the hardest thing about tanking wasn't keeping up my dps while holding on to aggro/adds (that's all rudimentary), but reading the air of when best to keep pushing forward and when to slow down.

Personally think of tanking like driving a car home with family. Some want you to rush home going well over speed limit while others want you to slow down due to fear of death or carsickness. In the end of the day I find you just gotta find the right speed that satisfies everyone best and adapt. In most situations being constantly driving a bit past speed limit, but not enough to get a pulled over by family-wide pull-over death. Stop at red lights for new players riding with you, but don't dilly dally to long when its already gone green again. Gotta be short and to the point, and never sleeping at the wheel.

P.S. Always remember to pee before putting your armor through a long durability ride home, since you can't always hold it in.

I've been levelling my drk lately and the amount of impatient dps I've encountered is staggering. I had one pull the morbol in that one guildhest, so I told him he could tank it if he wanted to so I went around to kill the bubbles.

Honestly, I don't even do that much. The last time a DPS ran ahead of me and pulled in a dungeon, I just sheathed my sword and stood there. He'd done it several times already, so I finally just let him have at it. He didn't die, but I made a point of walking through the entire dungeon from there on out and letting him tank everything he aggro'd. Eventually he started chatting with, "Really?"

My response? "Damn straight."

And I kept on walking.

The OP was in the right. The 2 pullers that vote kicked, abused the system and should of been reported. Honestly, I would of initiated a vote kick on one of them the second or 3rd wipe if they were the direct cause. Impatient people should not be playing MMO's plain and simple.

Nearly all bosses in casual content / hard-mode dungeons are a simple tank 'n spank.
Why even bother explaining "mechanics" that a good healer can easily fix by throwing out a couple more heals.

It's not about people being impatient, it's about a one-in a dozen runs where an entitled player feels the need to leech commendations.

When on my WHM or My DRK Tank, when I see new people I always explain every boss going through. While I have not ever been kicked before for doing it, at least not yet, I am the only one that talks and does it tho, no one else ever volunteers..
