Vote-kicked for explaining 1st-timer tactics and having impatients get what's coming

I play on PS4, so I only bother typing at times when I have my keyboard plugged in as otherwise its ridiculously slow to get anything said, but the pace at which you moved wasn't the deciding factor in the removal, that's the side issue, not entering the boss room is the main issue as had you entered, obviously there wouldn't have been a kick and the dungeon would have been completed, nothing said or done, just moved on

Reality of it is, had you entered the room, its a clear, no harm no foul, instead you stood outside and seem to pass blame to others

It must have been easy to see that the OP was typing out some info for the newbie and wasn't in the boss room. If everyone was standing around and you were waiting on the tank to pull, give him a ready check. If they don't ready up, obviously they aren't ready yet. If they do ready up, expect a pull within the next few seconds. Quick, easy communication without the need for a keyboard.

When someone takes a reaaaally long time to write a one sentence, it sometimes seems like they went afk. I think that's what happened here.

For example, if it takes them 5 minutes to write one line? It looks like they went afk by the 4min mark.

Maybe taken longer, and although the time in there would have been longer (although again mechanics for the dungeon don't matter, weren't adhered to anyway even after the explanation on first or 2nd boss and no wipes), I find I don't notice it going by if I am doing something, but if I have to stand around doing absolutely nothing for good portions of the dungeon, that really drags on.

Also the "new" guy, wasn't new to the game, it was just his first time doing that particular dungeon but he was over geared, over levelled and generally wouldn't have had any issues anyway, I mean the first day dungeons are released everyone clears them without issues despite not knowing mechanics until they join, let alone months later

I don't see why the new guy would have to look up the fight beforehand, its only a dungeon, he would have learnt by just going through it

Legal issue, going to be honest and say SE don't even ban the bots, nor do they do much about the guys who sit in cities spamming "buy my gilz" messages, so thats not even a real issue, im only replying to the thread because I felt the issue was misrepresented and nothing wrong done

Part of my other issue is that I don't feel anyone should need their hand held through easy content, much more effective to just try the fight and learn that way, hell I would have preferred to try and then wipe than wait for all the explanations as at least it would have been time spent doing something (although admittedly, even you are aware im sure that the mechanics are a non issue these days)

Ps. Thought Sabers post was funny, tagged someone asking what needs explaining in the last boss, answers with the first boss lol

We don't know how many bots SE bans for every one that slips through. The saying goes that for every rat seen, at least a dozen more are there. Regardless, legal is legal, and saying nothing will be done because of apparent bots being there is almost like saying it's alright to break into a house because the door was unlocked and only 1 in 10 thiefs doing so are caught. I know it's a but more nuanced, but you get the idea. The circumstances for frustration being understandable however, this particular use of the vote-kick, as per your elaboration in your previous posts as well, was just wrong and against the code of conduct.

Now, with the part of learning it the hard way I can relate to. I myself have had quite a few of these cases succesfully applied to myself. However, I'm the kind of guy that, no matter how effective something may be, I'll initially chose the path of less potential stress for others. I don't know how the new player will react to new situations, and with the lack of communication I just took the safe route and explained. Heck, if you guys had just even said "Hey, let's just go. Something happens, we 3-man", or something similar I would have gladly gone for it, perhaps with some laughs too. Because yes you're right, in saying the mechanics are a non-issue these days. For me at least they are, and obviously for you and your SCH friend as well. But if I have to chose between being a bit slower OR potentially causing a LOT of stress to one person, I'll take the first. Regardless, whenever I was plunged headfirst into new stuff, always some form of communication preceeded it, even a "lol, try 2 keep up". But as I said before, I had no way of knowing what was exactly going on in your guys' heads, for lack of communication, while I did have an idea what was going on in the 1st-timer's head.

Ps. Yes, I did have a chuckle about that boss mention as well, shame on me. :P

Except it didn't take me minutes, more like seconds. So no, that's not what happened here. :')

If it had taken seconds, you would have had time to enter the boss room though right? I mean you stopped right at the entrance, 2 steps forward and you were in, and the scholar didn't run in and pull instantly

The scholar shouldn't have pulled, end of story. You either type "Let's go" if you want the tank to pull or pop a ready check which is like four button presses on a controller.

Of course I had the time to step into the boss area, I chose not to and let the pre-pulling SCH tank the boss while I continued explaining. This has never been in question, has it? I think even in my OP I was pretty clear about that.
