I've heard some talk about how Warriors are overpowered, but isn't it really that it shows how underpowered the DPS (and other tanks) really are?
And also I think DRGs got jipped big on this one. Two attacks that do the exact same thing.

Relevant and interesting discussion on balancing skill ceiling with skill floor.
I do think the skill floor needs to be raised to get the "casual" players to output rather more damage than they do presently. I see some weakest players pulling less than 1/4 of the DPS of the best players, and that's always going to cause problems. The question is how to do this, without overly rewarding bad players for minimal effort strategies.

This, pretty much. Even with that new expansion, some people have been pretty much saying "I wonder how much of that is going to be cut from the final product?".
Something will have to give one way or the other.Relevant and interesting discussion on balancing skill ceiling with skill floor.

Off the top of my head:
BLM - Increase ways with which to refresh Enochian or increase its duration while leaving Blizzard IV as the main way of refreshing the duration, along with creating some synergy between Enochian and Astral Fire/ Umbral Ice. Suggestions range from having Scathe add 5 seconds to Enochian and AF/UI to giving Fire IV/Blizzard IV a 30% chance to refresh Astral Fire/Umbral Ice.
DRG - Change Fang & Claw and Wheeling Thrust from random procs to alternating, with the "pattern" resetting every time BotD is used. So the first time you complete a Chaos Thrust/Full Thrust combo, you get Sharper Fang & Claw, the second time you complete it you get Enhanced Wheeling Thrust, third time you get Sharper Fang & Claw and so on. Alternatively, redesign both attacks and make them 4th combo skills, so you'd go something like Chaos Thrust => Wheeling Thrust and Full Thrust => Fang & Claw, making "Extends BotD by 15 seconds" their combo effect.
MNK - Nothing much here, though I'd change Meditation into a channeled ability over 8 seconds with a 2.5 second cooldown. Not a big change, but I think MNKs should spare themselves carpal tunnel from having to spam Meditation.

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Rather than change one job, change every other one. Sounds smart.
