The main scenario from 2.0 to 2.55 really is not that long, especially skipping the CS's. Its just a few hours worth of quests and go through two dungeons and two trials that are both stupid easy to beat. I don't recommend skipping CS's, but the hurdle from 2.0 to 2.55 does not take long at all and the MSQ are enjoyable to watch. If you get worked up easily to this, then you likely would of found some other excuse to quit down the road.

6 trials and 2 dungeons. It also takes alot longer than a few hours. Took me about 3 weeks playing a few hours a day. Most likely because I had to take breaks from it or my sanity was going to go.

It really is not that bad. If it was behind actual difficult content it might be a thing, but it isn't. Soooo....just work your way through or quit the game.

It's hilarious to me when people act like they are victimized for not educating themselves. Not only was the requirement expressed on the website, it was in live letters, talked about across forums and even covered by large corporate video game and entertainment media across the world who would provide the information and give thoughts on it. Not liking the requirement is completely valid in this context, but acting like you were deceived is just flat out nonsense. You are probably better off playing something else if you didn't enjoy your journey leveling.

Look before you buy maybe? While the link someone posted was not much info it is in fact true that months before HW SE made it very clear the main storyline of 2.0 would need to be completed to move on to I'shgard, even pretty sure live letters, etc. they talked about it. And true some players it may take longer depending on were you left off, but if you have time to dedicate to it, the story does not take long to complete.
Only thing you may run into problems is people not running the 2.0 content as much, but easily remedied just run the content with your FC if you are in one.

Do the people here go crazy in stores and lash out at people at the refund counters.. or is there just something bizarro about this game that brings out the crazy?

I am happy so far- glad you got your refund, though! As for those that say "this isn't the game for you"... maybe it is or maybe it isn't- but I don't think driving people out of the game because they disagree will help anything. There were people that said that in 1.0.

No it really wasn't that bad, but just doing those useless quests, was mind numbing. I get the whole thing and for someone who was playing since the original release, it wouldn't have been bad. But when you have to do them all in a row it does get depressing. I honestly though I wouldn't get thru them or get the xpac. But I pulled it together, mainly because my sub was good til November and I don't really play any other games, (GTAV to break it up) may as well get it done. I'm glad I did, having fun now.

Aside for a few people trying to be helpful - the comments went negative pretty darn quickly. I'm not sure why anyone cares, except for the fact that is appears SE has a decent return policy. That is a good thing, and good to know, imo.
