None of that has anything to do with the fact that the story does not have to be forced. This is an MMO, not a single player rpg, every MMO has story, every MMO has lore, not every MMO forces you to talk to every NPC. WoW, the game that every likes to bring up for some reason, did not force lore and had at one point 12million subs. I think it's safe to say that the game won't die if you don't force quests. Believe it or not, not everyone plays MMOs for the story *shrugs*

People that like reading the story quests can while people that don't aren't forced too, everyone is happy.
