For "some" classes they made the damage dealing more complicated for the sake of complexity and nothing else, this is true with Blm. You have timers, buffs, spells, cds, Thunderclouds, all types of things to worry about constantly, Umbral and astral + more. If any one of those things messes up even for a second say good bye to your dps.

Not saying blm is a bad class, it does some nice dmg forsure, but the long road you must travel on to reach the said dmg is way too long, so many things can go wrong, you could be knocked away on a blizzard cast you needed, you could mess up enochian by 1 second, so many things to list. And this is why my blm sits at lvl 50.

On the other hand, you can't fairly comment on the experience of playing BLM at 60 without trying it yourself. While it's fine for people to have an opinion on BLM mechanics, some people who really dislike Enochian exaggerate its downsides pretty badly, so don't take it all on faith.

If you're unfamiliar with a fight or know that rotation-halting mechanics might happen to you, you adjust to refresh AF and Eno a little earlier to be in the safe side; if you're confident that you can turret, go balls to the wall and squeeze out all your F4s etc., then refresh Enochian as late as you like. Surprised by something? Swiftcast can save your rotation.

TL;DR: Try it and see what your own experience is like. Personally I don't find it bad now that I'm used to it.

I'm in the agree on too complicated crowd. I see this issue as totally subjective, because some players I think like the complexity.
Personally, I'd rather be watching the boss, enjoying the fight and concentrating on mechanics, not watching for multiple timers and buff durations, worrying about positionals, etc. I like the story of the game, but Heavensward just made the combat feel clunky and less fun.

The guy changed his 110 weapon to a 133. Hopefully his rant will come to an end now.

I've legit never seen anyone get kicked for straight dps issues. If you are going afk, ignoring mechanics, or just ignoring simple tank and spank dungeon procedures yeah, you're probably going to get kicked. So I'd say run some dungeons with people you know and see if there's anything they notice that you are just blatantly disregarding or doing so terribly wrong you could get kicked for it. Straight up, you should not be getting kicked for dps issues when you are running casual dungeons. Especially because it sounds like you are at least trying to dps. Either way, I hope this doesn't ruin the game for you because it is really fun and there is a good community behind all the griefers that think they know everything about every class because they downed titan ex one time.

That's the thing, unless you're in alex Savage, it isn't required. People don't want to do "enough" DPS, they want to be able to reach the potential maximum, but with less effort. I can pretty much guarantee you that these players don't have issues regarding progression.

There's more gear available than needed, you can do 60% of your DPS potential and clear everything but Savage.

Indeed. I personally don't agree with the mind-set (not to accuse my previous interlocutor of anything). To want something played to its maximum potential without investing effort is...difficult for me to sympathize with. Especially when it is not preventing them from fulfilling their duty. However, majority rules and time will tell.

I just don't get it, is it just people with bad self esteen feeling bad about themselves if they're not at top? "I don't want to min/max, and the option shouldn't be there for others either".

I feel like with the 2.X DRG rotation, there was very little room for gradual learning. It's either you know your optimal rotation or you don't, and there's no " I did slightly better than last time". A complex rotation gives you an actual learning curve, especially with stuff like blood of the dragon where the buff usage depend heavily on fight by fight basis.

Only gotten around to wrapping up Drk, War, and Pld, Working on Mnk atm. Small learning curves, but not too hard to learn.

Not sure how hard Drg is to learn. But that'll be my next class. ;/ Wanna get rid of these STR accs.
