I know full well about df queues. I despise fate grinding therefore df dungeon running is my primary source of leveling. Of course the node thing IS something I'm unfamiliar with as my dol classes are terribly low. When I heard about the nodes I was further discouraged to even bother. i usually find other in game things to do when i wait for queues. To clarify this is still currently my favorite game at the moment. I love the new maps we got and enjoy flying through them. But the post 60 grind atm seems a bit underwhelming. People are more than welcome to tell me I'm wrong or stupid for having an opinion different from theres, but I'm gonna have breakfast and then log in to play where ill give the game my full attention. For those that wish to poke holes in my statements go ahead but I probably wont respond/see for awhile. Cheers

You know what's always funny to me? When an OP says like 10 words or so, never returns to the topic
and everyone is like savages amongst themselves. Who's the ones really bored here lol?

what think is ruining the game, is the unsynced option.. now (new) players just rush to get higher gear levels and go back to farm mounts or gear (in fcob), without really ever fully enjoing them and seeing what makes those trials/raids so great...

echoes were enough (imo a bit too much), but this unsynced is BS..

they should only allowed a player to join an unsynced if he/she at least completed it once normaly/with echoe only

(just recently, someone who never completed T13, was pulled thru an unsynced group and mount farming in garuda is taking 2 min... too much of the end game is starting to feel broken.. something wow had at one point)

daily roulette, log off, rinse repeat, is the cycle i've been in for a while, don't need money from DoL, don't really need to craft anything either, I wouldn't say it's boring but it feels like somethings missing.

That feeling is partly from having a huge chunk of the game trivialized with nothing to replace it (yet).

We have right now:
-Way fewer dungeons at level cap
-No relic to grind
-No new primal mounts to farm
-No 24 man raids
-Pretty large time gating with scrips
-Only one pvp mode at level cap
-No developed side quest chains like Hildibrand
...etc.

Just my thoughts on fun and the a great place to improve it. Of course, I'm not expecting everyone to agree with this.

I know we've been told stuff is happening with the GS in 3.1, but Yoshi often talks out his arse when he tells us what we find fun. All they have to do with the Golden Saucer is not turn everything into a freaking grind. Have a few mini games similar to Pokemon stadium which we can play with friends - Hours and hours of laughter there. Change the game style of Chocobo Racing so it's similar to Mario Kart, and let us use all of our TT cards without having to grind a collection. It's so stupid we're expected to do that. In FFVIII it was just a simple side game that was fun to do, FFXIV has ruined it, same with the Golden Saucer as a whole. It's an insult to the older teams when Yoshi says that all ideas they've introduced from previous Final Fantasy games are fun.

The reward for investing time into the game should be fun, there's not much of that in the game as it stands. They also they need to up Slaughter and Secure to 60. The idea of an expansion was to expand, with PVP they've made 1 new game and destroyed 2 others. That's a step back.

You seriously want to play super tough content with a population that has trouble with Bis EX? Gee, that sounds like a great time...

I'll leave that content for those who still have static teams from the days of yore; A time when a young internet forced enough social interaction in an MMO to form those kinds of groups.

You must have not dealt with extended DF queues or waiting for nodes to pop. I drift to youtube or play on my Wii U while waiting. As "fast" as FF14 can be, there's still gonna be some amount of waiting involved.

You shouldn't have to wait for nodes to pop. I very rarely do, whenever I'm out gathering I make a "circuit" its' usually two hours between nodes. And if it winds up to be a longer wait I fish. So I'm never idle....
