    Hunts. I would choose hunts.

I'm saying the question is pointless, all we can currently do is suggest that the second verse of endgame is not the same as the first.

Except that suggestion has been made multiple times in many threads already. Broken records do not make more feedback. A single post with several hundred likes will have better weight.

Also, again, the question isn't pointless, it is in fact intentional to illustrate the difficulty of this kind of feedback.

For example, you chose Hunts - one of the primary leveling systems in game and tied to one of the upgrade items to the entry level endgame gear. So you got Endgame people and likely the leveling people too breathing down your neck.

Not easy. Personally, I probably would have delayed Alexander. Endgame for Endgame. Sure, people would want their raid, but at least they'd chew on the new thing first for a while.

But again, this is all just speculative. They chose to cover their bases, knowing full well that they would get complained at for something new - honestly it's a good complaint to have after all the compliments on the stuff they did work on going up the levels.

So, now to continue the vein of questions, what would you add?

Personally? On the level of daydream desires, I would love for a rogue-like dungeon setup for an endgame progression. Something they could add onto with minimal effort for maximum play-ability. Sure, it would wind up being a lot of reused assets, but they would be in unexpected ways at levels higher than when we usually encounter them.

The problem is, I have no idea how they'd justify it in lore. Unless it was some sort of Allagan Hologram tech.

(Im not even the op, what the hell is this about!?)

I would include a holosuite tower simulator at helix, activated via a quest with the training node. where the player(or players, for more flavor) would be able to enter. At the start of it their ilvl is synced around a low number(the min for heavensward), but goes up as they complete certain tasks a la nyzul, with the occassional boss. Due to the state of ilvls today, the ilvl progression would need to be at a certain pace later on(as "floors") The end result would involve players challenging floors (and eventually trickier objectives and bosses)beyond their ilvl, within a set number of wipes. While it would likely not have rewards comparable to alex, the upper limit of "floors" would be set to an ilvl past alex.

And yes this would likely entail the removal of something different from hunts, but this was just something to come up with.

A4 Savage was mentioned because it's currently the highest battle-content challenge there is in game. No, that's not to say "Battlecraft" is the only endgame content, but you can't say you've done "everything" and are bored if you haven't at least challenged or conquered the game's current greatest challenge.

In fairness, if you're not interested in raiding for battle content, high level crafts for crafting content, or the same for gathering, then perhaps there isn't much for you at that point.Take a break, play something else, and see what the next patch has to offer. Plain and simple.

Nothing to do that interest them. Unless you are saying people should force themselves to do everything that is possible even if they don't want to/like it just for the sake of doing it?

    /longrantahead
I'm personally not into a raid group, too complicated with my timezone and I don't want to stress myself because I might fuck up.
I have spend the past two years leveling pretty much every class to 50 and spent my time crafting and gathering. I've touch pretty much every content this game has to offer and even if I can play a lot I never was one to grin for endless hours because I just can't do mindless content non stop, so I'm not really one of those players that rush content as many people here seem to accuse everyone of doing.

I wasn't too excited for 3.0 and ended up being pretty disappointed, but leveling all my craft/gather to 60 went pretty fast and easily so it was okay with me so far. The story was also okay I guess, I'm usually one to take it very slowly, but I was pretty much forced to focus on it since every zone for gather was locked behind it.
Alex normal got boring after two week of shitting rng and we got better gear soon after anyway, and even crafting normal gear has become a bother with how many mats/hour of farming is required. Even getting money now feels pointless. I don't even mention the goldsaucer that has been dead for so long now.

So now since I'm not a raider; what left do I have to do? Cap eso/red scripts. And those are absolutely not fun to do and honestly pointless. Crafting has become useless unless you want to be the best of the best.. except you can craft anything with just the lvl 60 gear...

So all I've been doing for the past month is PvP, boringly leveling my smn because I have nothing else to do and play around with glamour. Add to that the awful community and yeah that's done it for me, this game isn't worth playing anymore at it's current state imo.
The awful summer event and extremely rude players also finally helped me decide to stop my sub yesterday. I loved this game for the two years I've played it and I'm glad it was my first MMO, but only one month after exp and it now feels dead to me, if 3.1 isn't good when I come back then I might have to give up.

Maybe if you hadn't burned through the MSQ as fast as you could to try for world-first-no-one-cares then you'd still have content to do.

It's like speed running through a single player game and then complaining that it's short.

The problem is, if you play longer than an hour a day, you'll finish everything in a few hours. Just look at roulettes, you can fully finish all of them in maybe ~2 hours, then all 3 ranks of hunts take about 30 minutes, all 4 floors of alex take maybe an hour and a half now. There, you just finished all the relevant content for the day/week in abour 4 hours. XIV just throws stuff at you like its going out of style, not to mention the content is easy, the only thing making it difficult (not counting savage) are bad players who "play their way" and cause wipes.

It's not technically speed running when the game has so many caps, you can finish it all very shortly if you know how to manage your time and not only play for ~1 hour a day. To the people who say they only have time for an hour a day, my reply is that you should learn to manage time better. For over a decade, people who have been playing mmos have had work and family, even social lives, yet still played for a good 5+ hours daily. I really feel the people who only play for an hour or less a day don't know how to manage time and live like its the sims (wake up, work/school, home, sleep).
So if you're living like the sims and can't manage time, then sure, there's "plenty to do", but if you know how to manage time and play for 5+ hours (you know, the average playtime people play on a mmo. Yes, mmo, not a facebook/mobile game you spend an hour a day on.) like a lot of us do, then there's not really much to do in XIV and that's why we're bored.

MMOs used to release enough content to last you through the next update, even further(while playing for 5+ hours a day or more), but XIV gives us content that lasts a week, then we're stuck grinding the same 2 dungeons for 4-5 months, which then are thrown out, resulting in the same amount of content. Updates used to add content, not throw away what was just added, they'd build off of it, so then each update there would technically be more of a variety in things to do and would rarely, if ever, get bored, rather than "2 dungeons until next update. Update comes, those dungeons are useless, here's the exact same thing to replace that so you have no new variety".
