Adding Legacy Tattoo to Mog Station

Call it selfish if you want and I could just as easily call what you want greed if we really want to start calling names and labeling people, but you should not be able to buy anything that you want. For whatever reason you were not a part of the game during the time period that these things were available, so you do not get things that were available exclusively during that time such as the marking, the gobbue, the dalamud horn, white ravens, etc.

Some promotions are one time only, deal with it because it'll happen several times throughout life. The legacy marking is for players 'legacy' or otherwise who were present during the 1.0 version of FFXIV and unfortunately many of you were not. If you had been, great that would have been wonderful and I'd not think twice about you having it, but you weren't.

A lot of people are being snide about people saying what others 'deserve' but the truth is the players didn't decide who was deserving. Square Enix did, because they were the ones who created the conditions behind getting the marking, and some of you do not meet their conditions.

I don't care for the legacy trampstamp, nor do I understand its appeal. Its practically a tribal tattoo and those are never in good taste.

For those who want to play 1.XX I'm sure there's a private server out that allows it, I am just not sure about its quality but it's there for those who want it. Just google for it

Op me and my fellow version one player's played on when others abandoned we hung in there and supported ffxiv to even make 2.0 a reality so I ask you and all the others that feel that you all are so entitled or give me give me where were you. Sure not playing an good game plagued with a lot of problems the exclusive things we got was a way of se saying thanks and no matter how much crying and begging you people who have not been through thick and thin and during the worst will not nor ever have your name in the credits nor the exclusive item's or marks and as was stated by se and will never be given out again even if us v1 player's deleted our character with the exclusive item's and created anew will not be restored I love my gorlond of goggles and earned through per order in sept 2010 and no one else should be able to buy them and others which iv earned

You "earned" pre-order goggles?

Do the people here even know the difference between "earned" and bought anymore? I have the tatt on my character - not because I finished the story quests, not because I paid anything, and not because I supported an absolute mess of a game... it was because I created the character before a certain date.

That is how "earned" this was. For those of you who don't want others to have it... why? Do you actually think it means something? It doesn't. It means your character was created before X date.... but I play a character that doesn't have a tat, because I didn't want a legacy server.

I am really starting to worry about these people that think payment and buying things is "earning" them... at what point is this going to become a buy2win game... since that is "earning/deserving"?? People are attributing virtue to themselves where there is none to be found.

Your post implies (as others have already) that everyone who didn't play 1.0 didn't do so because they decided not to, while there are in fact some that would but couldn't due to RL circumstances. You're (unwittingly or otherwise) laying down a blanket statement on a group, perpetuating the blanket statement others have made towards everyone who has the stupid tattoo, insisting they're all arrogant elitists. In the end, the argument just goes in an endless cycle over a missing tattoo that isn't nearly as bad as any number of other unfortunate things the universe could deal an individual. This is all really starting to remind me a great deal of the main story of Heavensward ;p

The progression of XIV 1.0 was Release > Pay to play > Sorry we fucked up, let us fix it > Free to Play but must have purchased the game > okay we fixed it, please resub > End of 1.23
