Adding Legacy Tattoo to Mog Station

No. I'm not a legacy player (only tried the 1.0 beta, was enough of a dumpster fire for me) and I still think we shouldn't get it. It's part of both the devs' thanks and apology to those who stuck with a genuinely bad product and supported them enough to be able to make ARR. You weren't there, you did not participate. It's only coveted because everyone can't have it. Don't be greedy, man.

Maybe they'll release another tattoo for everyone but that? It's LITERALLY not for us.

I'd welcome it, my account is older than most but I wasn't able to actively play the game during the time period of the legacy campaign so here's a 2011 player that has no legacy tattoo because of rl circumstances lmao....

im the same. i played some but i couldnt commit to the (terrible) game due to being in the military. i still dont think it should be in the mog station.

however, i do think other tattoos should be added to the game (and not mog station) as that would satisfy most people. and.. not to faces either.

maybe instead ask the devs to make other tattoos attached to big ingame achievements
like world firsts, ranked pvp or ocean fishing

I think I it would be neat to have more tattoos you can get in the game, but I think more limited ones is a bad idea. Ones you earn for ocean fishing, or leveling every combat job to 100 next expansion, or whatever? Those are fine; people can still earn them 3 years later if they want them. Stuff like world-first clears, or anything with a permanent cap on how many can ever get it? That’s a recipe for disappointment and resentment.

But FFXIV’s phoenix-like rebirth from the ashes of the flaming wreckage that was 1.x is an event that is unique in the world of MMOs, and it is in large part due to the loyalty of the 1.x players who supported the game even when it was a disaster—who believed it could be something more and stuck with it—that made it possible for SQEX to actually make that rebirth a reality and bring this game into existence.

The reason I think this is the exception to my “I hate when companies do things you can only get at a certain time and then never again” rule is because it’s basically an exception to everything. The circumstances are so unique, I really think that for once a company is fully justified in giving a special, unique, once-only thank you to the players involved.

Even if, sure, I wish I had the perks on this account.

I actually think there is some middle ground here that can make the legacy tatoo more relevant for those who have thier original accounts, still and a way to make the WoL more representative to being a member of the scions for those who don't have a legacy account.
