The other option is to do Mini-cactpot, chocobo racing, Triple Triad and G.A.T.E.s to earn MGP get gold or platinum packs and fill your deck with cards. Or you can do trials and get cards, or run dungeons to get cards, or play NPCs to get cards. OR PLAY YOUR FRIENDS to get MGP, and turn it in for cards.

You are posting grind-heavy alternatives. Play my friends to get mgp only unlocks a small slice of the cards. This is excactly my complaint. Also MGP doesn't give you platinum packs.

So what you're saying is that FFXIV should be like going to work and binge-watching a show? Even without mentioning that your examples are terribly incomparable. I can't follow this reasoning at all. 'If you don't like it then go away' is just a lazy response. People mentioned it, don't need it.

It's the refuge of those who don't have any good argument or justification, so they fall back on telling everyone else to go away. They either can't conceive of a game that simultaneously appeals to many player types or they're so blatantly selfish that they want it all their way and only their way. You see it all the time when players make a suggestion or request and they shoot it down even if it doesn't affect them in any way. If you should dare suggest adding a UI option they don't need or a glamour they wouldn't use, they'll be there to say you shouldn't have it.
