Wasn't there a dev comment the other day in the jp to english forum which spoke about need to do most of the quests except the dungeon ones.
I'm a recruit in all GC's, just completed the new Gridania quest, "Their Finest Hour", and it's telling me to go to the other GC's, so maybe you have to do all the initial new quests, then return to the one you want? Makes no sense to me.
who ever decided you HAVE to be a recruit in all companies before pledging alegience should be FIRED!
thought this game was about letting people play casually how they wanted to play?
You need to do the second quest for all companies to be able to hear the intro speech for your company. (Engineering Victory, Their Finest Hour, and Burning Man)

you're making it seem like those quests are even hard to begin with. They're all very basic quests
Walking from Ul'dah to the ferry is way worse than roaming them forests imo
