Dragoon - Combo Action Not Activating

Heavy Thrust is supposed to trigger a combo action for Ring of Thorns but I find that it only procs the combo occasionally. The tool tip does not indicate that the proc is not 100% for the combo. Can you please have this addressed?

I have only noticed this happen in dungeons. I have not been able to replicate it on a training dummy.

The proc for Ring of Thorns activate only when you respect the positionnal requirement. Attack from the flank and you'll get the proc. That's not a bug.

Well, first, I have tried moving and it still doesn't activate, and there is nothing in the tool tip about a positional requirement for the combo

I went and checked just to make sure. If the issue is positioning then thats the bug because it doesnt activate even when I am standing exactly 180 from the tank. I suspect however, that has nothing to do with it because neither Heavy Thrust nor Ring of Thorns have a positional requirement.

After a little more research, it appears that it is only proc'ng when I am in front of the mob. That can't be right. By all definitions provided, positioning should not matter at all, and frontal is certainly not something that the dragoon class has actions for.

Heavy Thrust does more damage and combos into Ring of Thorns when you attack the enemy from the flank (side)

If you are doing a direct 180 from the tank, than that is also the wrong position lol. That is "behind" the target. You have to do a Flank which is a direct 90 degrees from the front (in your words where the tank is). None of your skills require the front as DRG. If i remember correctly it says Heavy thrust does a bonus damage potency if executed from the flank. I know the tooltip says nothing about a requirement position to start the combo but its been like this since 2.0.
